Hm. i didn't even know the Oscars were last night. i guess that shows how much i care. hehe -
hahaha. thanks! I can just imagine myself pulling up in the middle of the night thinking, "hmmm it's much less crowded over heeeere!" meheheh. I am very much excited, yes... 3 more days in the Army and I'm FREE!!
-
I'll be there 1-9 March. Hope to see you guys there! I'm planning on putting up a tent, stop by for a beer! woot.
-
Hahah yes, obviously so, but i don't understand why so many dropzones generally charge the same high rates. If you train twice the students at half the price you're still making the same amount of money and keeping a larger base of customers. That's what i was really getting at.

I did an AFF level 1 before doing a static line training program, and the static line method seemed much easier on me. Most people hold an opposite opinion, but I suppose everyone is different and the learning curve might be a little steeper, but I think you see the results much faster and everything comes together piece by piece. At Lodi it cost me under $1000 for my A license, it seems like most other places are upwards of $2500. It seems to me that the cost of these training programs drives away quite a few potential jumpers.

Sweet, ZHills is where I'm headed to, but not for that weekend, couldn't get a pass to drive out there. whatever. I am heading out there once I finally get out of the Army in March though. Should be good times. The DZ here isn't really doing anything on weekdays. Hardly any people come out on the weekends even. Maybe 15 people or so. I mean, it is fricking freeeezing. but still. :-P

Yeah that'll come in handy...

hmm. i'm about to eat some tasty hushpuppies! mmm... i reheat everything in my toaster oven. the microwave just makes stuff soggy.

Somehow I find that one to be slightly amusing. mmm... everyone loves the chocolate! -
Soooo! It's freaking cold here in NC. I'm planning on heading down to Florida Presidents Day weekend for a bit of that tropical climate! Where should I go? I'm planning on camping if possible. It looks like there are tons of awesome DZs! Any recommendations?

I suppose they mean for students with rental gear and a coach? I think that would totally scare me away from the sport think it was that expensive... EEEEE!! oo gas is $2 now WOOT!
