I'd say it's closer to 30%. Even with all these civilian contractors for support roles (e.g. cooks, mechanics, etc.) the soldiers that would be doing these jobs are still deploying, only they have a very high paid (starting around 80k tax free) civilian doing some or all of their job for them. These civilians are very rarely more skilled than their military equivilent, i really don't understand the reason we have these people. Isn't this why we have military cooks and mechanics?! I was just thinking about this the other day. so yeah. peace.

I wish they would come back here to Afghanistan instead of Iraq. That would be much more interesting! Maybe the insurgents would stop attacking other coalition forces altogether. Those Marines that massacred those civilians will look like saints after the Russians bomb a few villages.

drink a bottle and find out. :-P exposure to sunlight is usually what skunks beer out, not just heat, especially corona since it's in clear bottles. since it was in the shade you should be good. Or you could just watch the reaction on everyone else's faces when they take a sip of piss. mmmm. that would be somewhat amusing. yay off to mandatory fun day!

Always! it keeps me from being a big splatter mark on the road and we wouldn't want that, would we! YAY! erm. it just feels weird if i don't have one on. I'm in Afghanistan (in the fabulous Army) and i even wear one here unless i'm going through a built-up area.

It's not about smoking being bad for YOU, it's not only about smoking being bad for those around you, but very unpleasant to a non-smoker. The majority of the public are non-smokers, so why should we cater to the minority? These public smoking bans don't say you can't smoke in public, just that you can't smoke in public establishments. It would be common courtesy to go outside for a cigarette in the company of non-smokers anyways! Who wants to come home from a bar smelling like the Marlboro man? I don't have a beef against smokers, i just don't want to breathe the shit whenever i go out. You can always just stick some nicotrol patches all over yourself. Ooo i feel sooo wooooozy YAY! -
I remember after September 11 everyone and their mother had at least one flag flying over their Suburban. By February they were all torn to shreds and no one gave a damn. IF they took them down they probably just threw them in their trashcans to be covered with used coffee grounds. Otherwise they continued to drive around with a shredded flag to show their TRUE (new-found?) PATRIOTISM! So what's disrespectful anyways?

I just find it to be unfair that when a man sleeps around he's called a player which is often looked at in more of a positive manner for most, and when a woman sleeps around she's a filthy whore. In either case i think it either comes down to a lack of self respect or serious enthusiasm. Who are we to judge? I find 'serial monogamy' (awesome term for it) to be much more damaging because it's rooted in lies. It's one thing to fuck everyone, but something entirely different to FUCK WITH everyone. that's just my $.02
