I fail to see how we're saving the planet / saving the earth Aren't we really trying to save the human race ? The planet has been here long before us and will be here long after we're gone ,it's been through many climatic changes, and is none for the worse. It cares whether we're here or not and I'm sure if it did, it would be happier ( as well as all other life forms ) without us.

(afaik) National Forest is legal. Some areas of NF are designated "Wilderness Areas" but here the only activity not allowed is Hang Gliding. National Parks and National Recreation Areas for the moment are still off limits.
