I loved frats when I was in college.....they kept all the schmucks corralled, and we knew exactly where they would be! Mike

Honda is still claiming that they are not going to produce this aircraft....but with all the alliances they have made recently(most notably with GE for the HF118 engine that powers the HondaJet), I find it hard to believe...as do most analysts in the industry. Time will tell, I guess. Mike

I sure hope you're never called upon to use your weapon against an intruder....snake shot at anything more than 2-3 feet is more than likely just gonna piss somebody off. I put nothing in my gun but hollowpoints for self defense. If you're gonna shoot, you need a real round. If you want something that will spread, get a shotgun. Mike

Must've had a female instructor... Mike

If so, I missed it....I skipped over a bunch of posts in this thread cuz when I first saw this thread it had over 100 posts.....plus, after reading a couple from specific people I know that I agree with them and have the same mentality, so I generally just skim their posts(which means I miss a lot of it).. HEY! I resemble that remark! I feel the same way. It amazes me what some people think, though...it makes me realize that training is such a vital part of the whole situation. Actually, I may be heading back to Gunsite for another course next month.. Mike

Holy shit, dude...it's been a LLOOOOONNNNG time since I've talked to you....but...when did you start your own flight school?! Nice aircraft choice, BTW. I saw one of those about a year ago down here in Orlando(didn't get to fly it, unfortunately). How many do you have? Oh, and I saw that you offer Jump Pilot Training....I chuckled at that one....I got this image of you going up with a student, then at 10k saying...."OK, here's your training...keep the plane under control.." as you exit.. Mike

Damn.....I was hoping you meant America West was looking for a skydiving pilot... Mike

The Grand Caravan has an MSRP of $1.75Mil(don't ask how I know this ). I don't see adding more than another $500k for EFIS....plus, I just don't see the point in EFIS in a Caravan to begin with. EFIS is a great thing...I use it every day(well, every day I work that is )...but it's definitely not a necessity. I would NEVER put EFIS in a plane that was primarily a jump plane. IMO, EFIS is only really an advantage during hard IFR conditions. Mike

There should always be a flashlight sitting RIGHT NEXT TO your gun. When you need the gun, you grab both. It helps to identify your target. Of course, don't turn it on until necessary - you will give away your exact position otherwise. I have a handgun with a tactical light attached to the front rails. Wherever I point, I see. The light is activated by one finger in a split second when I feel I need it(switch is on grip). Mike

Based on your profile, I assume you're in the Denver area.. Find a local shop that deals in rare/valuable coins. They should have books for sale that you can look up info on the currency. If the same store doesn't have books on stamps, find another store that specializes in stamps. You probably won't find a store specializing in stamps...look under Hobbies in the yellow pages. Check everything out via books or the internet for value, then take them into said shops and ask them to value them for you. Let them know you plan to sell them....to the shop if they give you a good offer. If the value you determine and the value the shop determine are very far apart, go elsewhere. If you are able to determine value from books, put them on eBay. Mike

Yeah. I agree. No cakes allowed at WFFC. Even if it is someone's birthday. I didn't see anything in that picture but a nice ass in some smack booty Pantz sticking up...were there other people in it? Mike
-
So far they're projecting $2.2 to $2.3 million. Damn cheap when it comes to new bizjets...but definitely not a long range aircraft. Mike

OOOooohh.....I think I'm close with my previous guess about the drinking tent! Mike
-
Ahhh...I see how it is... Don't worry...I won't ruin your fun...I'll just be the invisible man there...you guys won't hear a peep out of me...you won't even know I'm there... Ah, hell...who am I kidding? I'll be one of the most obnoxious MF'ers there.. You'll be damn lucky if you get to skydive with me....cuz I'll be too drunk to skydive most of the time.. Mike
-
Just think...that's not really that long...it's only like...oh....damn..5 months.. I saw "the list" said you are an LO there....what are you gonna be organizing? My guess is at the drinking tent...can I help? Mike

9/11 - I was in the air when the announcement came over the radio from the center controller..."All US airspace is being shut down. Decide where you want to go, within one hour flight time, now. I'll get back to each aircraft individually. Maintain radio silence unless I call you first." Challenger explosion - Math class. We were watching it live on TV as it happened. Columbia - woke up after a late night, turned on the TV, there was the news. Columbine - I don't recall what city I was in, but I was sitting at the airport in an FBO when it came on CNN. Mike

What 4 way camp are you going to? A tunnel or skills camp? I'm considering going to one myself...my RW sucks, and I think I need to improve it to be a better RW camera flyer.. YES I DO HE DOES! Mike
-
Apparrently, you're not only a no-camera-flyin biatch, but you're a no-reading-simple-sentences biatch as well! Where the fuck is my name on there?! Mike
-
I'm not even gonna try to "update" one of the many versions of the list....so add me to the "Gonna be there no way you can stop me from coming so HA FUCKING HA!" list.. Mike

I am very responsible with storing my guns. They are always in a safe. Except for the ones that are on my person. Usually two of 'em. No better storage place than that. At night, I have a handgun in a safe right next to my bed. You know the type....you put your hand on a handprint, enter your code(via buttons at the tips of your fingers), it pops open and the holster slides out. Mike

Damn....Amy even looks damn good blurry.. Mike

Just think....now you'll be sure to set off all those metal detectors at the airports! Something to look forward to....secondary screening, every time! Mike

I'm absolutely amazed at some of the responses here. "Shoot to wound" is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. If you shoot, you shoot to neutralize the threat. Call it what you want - "shoot to stop" or "shoot to kill". For me, neutralizing the threat begins with two to the chest, with a follow up to the head if necessary(not to simply kill, but to NEUTRALIZE). If somebody is in my home uninvited and I feel they are a threat to myself or anybody else - or I simply don't know without a doubt that they are NOT a threat - I will neutralize the threat. If I am 100% sure that they are not a threat(chances are this will never happen in the given situation), I will not fire unless they become a threat. If you speak to them, do so in single words until there is no threat. There was a study done many years ago that showed that if a person is speaking, it will take them at least 3 words to spot, register, and react to a threat. That may be enough time for the perp to kill you. Mike

What if it is USED TP? That's easy...just rub their noses in it.. Mike
