  1. I agree with the author. Quite often fun jumpers are treated differently from tandem and/or AFF students. In the long run those DZs lose fun jumpers, who IMO keep our sport alive.

My wife and me we spent 5 days at this DZ. I believe that this DZ has a great potential, but currently is undervalued by skydiving community (mainly due to a lack of proper advertisement). I think, this is a good point to be considered by the DZ's management. There is a number of hotels around the DZ, but most of them are quite cheap and don't offer any descent services. We booked a room at the hotel which was recommended by DZ staff and we weren't disappointed. This is a good 4 stars hotel with a beautiful swimming pool and spacious rooms. The DZ has a special deal with the hotel, so there's a special rate they charge skydivers. The DZ operates two Pilatus Porters. While climbing the local pilots usually do a flight over the Atlas mountains, so you can enjoy a gorgeous and picturesque view. In a nutshell, I would recommend this DZ to everyone, who wants to spend a great time with his friends in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Those people over there really do their best and work hard in order to make your experience at their DZ unforgettable. This destination is already in my "must visit again" list for the next year. Finally, I'd definitely disagree with previous reviews where people blamed the DZ staff for paying little attention to foreigners. Although basic French skills would make your life much easier in Morocco, people who didn't speak any French were always equally treated and no one considered anyone's nationality when planning loads.
  3. Well, thanks guys for your comments & suggestions. Now I have a better idea which harness size to choose. C Ya! :)
  4. Hello everybody! I'm considering to buy a new rig soon and this time I've decided in favour of Mirage G4 with a Crossfire-2 139 and a PD-143 reserve. Now my dilemma is to choose a right size container. On the manufacturer's web page (i.e. miragesys.com) one of the customer's feedbacks left there says that choosing the above combination with a MO-size container requires an extremely tight packjob. Does anybody has or had an experience or can suggest the right sizing combination to choose? Generally, I prefer quite tight packing (it also allows you later on to downsize), but how to know what's "extremely tight" and simply "tight"? Your comments / suggestions are appreciated
  5. I had an opportunity to visit Skydive Rotterdam dropzone. It's an amazing skydiving club located close to the Rotterdam airport. Very professional staff, nice people with their professional attitude. I would recommend everyone to go there and enjoy that cool view while flying over the Rotterdam outskirts with sunny fields :)
  6. Thank you guys for your explanations. In the meanwhile, I did some surveys in the Internet too. As a result I have found out that the whole model range of the new SONY High Definition Handcam series ir divided in four main groups: - High definition on hard disc drive (AVCHD); - High definition on Memory stick (AVCHD); - High definition on disc (AVCHD); - High definition on tape (HDV). According to some experienced skydivers' opinions, the last range of cameras in my list is the most suitable for skydiving. The question now is if anyone of you have already made any stuff with the SONY camcorder (HDR-HC5E) mentioned above? What was the first impression? Please, share your opinions here. Thanks a lot in advance. C Ya! :)
  7. Hello guys! In order to not to add some new similar threads in this forum, I'd like to ask if anyone of you has already got any experience using SONY HDR series (HDR UX1..3E, DHR SR5..7E etc.) camcorders? I'm gonna buy some camera, but have not decided yet which one. I'd really appreciate your opinions here. I also couldn't find any camera boxes in net for the camcorders mentioned above. Any suggestions? Thanks! C Ya! :)
  8. Thanks guys for your explanation. I have to ask my rigger about the size of my container. I will get the complete rig in the middle of September and will have to participate in competition, that's why I tried to get clear with some issues in order to be sure that I will be able to get my new canopy into a smaller container. Anyway, it was quite exciting to discuss these things with you guys. I am just a beginner in this kind of activity (skydiving) but I find this forum very helpful. C Ya! :)
  9. By the way, does someone know what is the difference between Aerodyne's ZP and and any another manufacturer's one? I have heard, that Aerodyne uses the ZP made in South Africa and some experienced skydivers told me that the Aerodine's ZP resource and endurance is a bit worse than American (PD's) one's. Is it just a commercial rumour? C Ya! :)
  10. Thank you guys :) I see you have a fun imaging my packing horror By the way it will be my first rig, therefore it is worth trying it C Ya! :)
  11. About the packing the bigger size canopy into the smaller size container (in my case I'm going to pack the Pilot 168 into the container and harness made for 150th size). One person above said that it isn't tne smartest thing to do and it can cause some malfunctions Frankly, I was surprised because many of my friends did so due to further downsizing plans. C Ya! :)
  12. Thanks for your advice, but the deal is already done, two my canopies, the main and the reserve are in their way from the USA to my homeside. What do you think about my previous thread above? C Ya! :)
  13. I completely agree with you! The only thing is that I don't see here any problems and obstacles to use a bit smaller container packing the parachute (for instance, packing the Pilot 168 into the container 150 or 160). In my opinion, the most significant point to be cosidered is that the container size and harness size should be the same. The friend of mine has done about 200 jumps packing his Cayenne 170 into Jawelin 150th container. The only problem at the very beginning is that it was quite difficult and sometimes inconvenient to get the canopy into it, especially when it was completely new. After about 50 jumps there weren't any problems and now he is about to downsize buying a smaller 9 cell semielleptical canopy. Anyway, if there are any significant points to be considered, I will bear them in mind. C Ya! :)
