Hello!
I am a new skydiver and I have been jumping at a dropzone for one year now. As I now realize that I'm hooked, I need to find a way to feed myself with all the jumping I would love to do.
People at my DZ have found out that I am a seamstress and are asking me to do repairs and additions on their jumpsuits. I'm having a hard time figuring out what to charge.
I figured people in these forums will tell me the truth. I've done a bit of reasearch, but the info I've found has been master riggers doing the work and charging $60/hr. plus materials!
I'm wondering what a fair price would be for things like...
-zipper replacement
-changing velcro
-patching holes
-fixing booties
-adding pockets
Im trying to get a jumpsuit business going but the repair thing seems more consistant right now. I love to sew but it can get a little boring sitting in a trailer all day changing zippers, so I have to see if it's worth it.
Any help would be much appreciated.
