  1. Those were great comics, weren't they? I suddenly want there to be a huge blizzard here in Atlanta just so I can build an army of snowmen in the front yard.......
  2. Sounds like in your family the girls' balls are bigger than the boys'.
  3. The kid who got the rig? HE is kinda cute. Is he a DPH yet? Just doing the shot is enough of an incentive!! Hahaha...not yet. We do require them to have an A first. Got enough to think about when getting your license...don't need the added difficulty of attempting to fly in a corset.
  4. The kid who got the rig? HE is kinda cute.
  5. That's why I got my coach rating. I love being able to jump with the newbs. Just yesterday I made 2 coach jumps with a guy who only had 20 jumps. I saw a HUGE improvement on his dive and docks from the first to second jump. It made me smile so much to know that I was able to teach him something. It was also an honor when after the first jump he asked me to do another coach jump with him.
  6. Something very amazing happened at the Farm this weekend. I was working with a new jumper on some of the ground stuff for his A. A certain old timer jumper who everyone knows on here (not going to mention his name but you can recognize him from his avatar ) came up and asked the kid if he was looking to buy a rig. I had the discussion with the kid of used vs. new gear for a new jumper. I told the kid that if the rig fits, this guy would be a great person to buy from. He's very meticulous about his gear so you know it's been taken care of, and he would never sell anyone something that wasn't safe for the person to jump (i.e. too small of a canopy). Well, after I was done working with him, the kid went to talk to this older gent about buying his gear. He ended up GIVING his complete rig to the new jumper! There was one stipulation attached to it though, when he's done, he has to GIVE it away to a new jumper. As word spread of what happened everyone was touched at the generosity shown. I think it reminded all of us that if we ever can help out a new jumper in anyway, then we should.
  7. Hehehehe...you said Double Team. Yes, and I've seen her spankings, I've seen her break the paddle over someones ass before. So I'm kinda grateful not to have gotten one yet. I enjoy being able to sit down.
  8. Maybe you were just blind but there were definitely chicks. One was even singing I believe.
  9. Countless positive vibes headed his way.
  10. Judging by this video engineering school isn't that bad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lyHQLyZUuM&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  11. I don't see a problem with it at all. I see tons of skydivers with the word fuck in particular on their helmet. As long as it doesn't take up the ENTIRE helmet I don't see what the problem is. Maybe just make that one a little smaller so it doesn't stand out so much.
  12. I think my favorite part was how she couldn't keep a straight face or stop giggling around him from the time she packed it till they jumped....and he never caught on that he should be suspicious of something! But yes...the video was absolutely priceless!
  13. fold in half and touch your toes on the way out the door, i hear TMs love that. I did something similar to that when I did a front ride for a friend getting his rating. I was his last experienced jumper. All the TI's were giving me pointers on how to screw with him. It was fun! He cursed me out when we got under canopy. But then, 2 weeks later, he came up and gave me a big hug. He said, "I just had a student do to me exactly what you did on your front ride. Thank you for teaching me how to handle that!" So remember TI candidates, when experienced jumpers fuck with you it's for your own good.

    stow aways

None of us have probably ever been as desperate as some of these people trying to escape. When you're that desperate, it probably seems like it's worth the risk. Also, the ones trying to escape the impoverished countries probably have never heard of hypoxia or have any idea just how cold it gets at those altitudes. They probably also have no concept of just how high the planes go.
  15. Part of the issue is he wasn't willing to jump the in between sizes at the time. NOW he jumping a 200. The problem was that he was refusing to listen to anyone's recommendations and as I said, went straight from the 210 to the 170 despite the warnings. Also, you haven't seen this guys "landings" or "accuracy". Not the prettiest things on earth. He needed to be on the 210 a bit longer anyway.
  16. Noobs lie! That's all there is to it. We had an issue with a new jumper at our DZ wanting to downsize rather quickly. Both S&TA's and the DZO told him "HELL NO!" (He wanted to go from a 210 to a 170 at 35 jumps. He claimed that since he only weighed 172 it was OK.) Well, one weekend the DZO was out of town and unreachable. This guy insisted to the S&TA's that the DZO told him he could jump it. One of the S&TA's told him if he saw him with that rig, he was grounded. Not to long after one load left, someone came up to a group of us (one of which was a S&TA) and said, "guess who I saw run out there last second with the 170 on......" One S&TA quickly called to the plane, another very experienced and highly respected jumper at the DZ was on one of the headsets. He was told to let that jumper know if he got out of the plane with that rig he was done. Apparently at this point a very heated argument started on the plane between the dipshit and one of the TI's. Lucky for us (and his bones) he landed in the plane. Once the DZO got back, we told him what happened. He just shook his head. He had NEVER told the guy he could jump the 170, just as we suspected. So basically never take someone for their word. Unless you know them personally, or know someone who does, follow up on their so called "references". Call the DZ direct, call the rigger. Any number you can find for that DZ. Luckily, this guy seems to have learned his lesson. It took several arguments with several different people. But it seems to have gotten through his thick skull. Unfortunately, that's not always the case.

  19. This wouldn't happen to be the same daughter I saw dressed up as LeeLoo last weekend is it????
  20. I've been helping my roommate with his homework lately. He's 38, never went to school past high school, and now he's going back for his associates in something car related (not exactly sure what). He's been a mechanic for 20 years and knows that stuff like the back of his hand. Basic English classes though, not so much. I'm actually excited for when he starts a math class. Math was one of the few subjects I was pretty decent in.
  21. Sunday night. Out at Dragon*Con (big sci-fi/comic book convention, the east coast version of Comi Con) and seeing a sign that makes us all realize that a Southern Baptist convention is overlapping with D*C the last two days in a couple of the hotels. Oh, and did I mention the look on the Southern Baptists conventions attendees faces when they would walk in the door and see the girls in panties/mini skirts with carefully placed pieces of tape?

    Rug Burn.

I see the robbing hasn't stopped.
  23. Thanks Dave. clearly it's just John trying to replace us I'll always welcome more naked people... I mean just people. I always welcome more people. Although in most cases being naked will help you get added to the mix a little quicker.
