  1. Got in touch with Andreas Küttel. Great guy btw! Thanks for the advise! ;-) Gibolin from Switzerland
  2. Wow, that's awesome!!! Veeeery interesting to analyse! He seems to reach the "red line" of the slope: does it mean he has increased his glide ratio until the limit of the slope? Another observation: from the profile angle camera, his position is quite "vertical", certainly preparing for the landing on the skis. So he is decreasing his speed mostly with that position. Now imagine a belly landing is possible: the angle of the body would be more efficient for taking most advantage of the lift generated by the suit. In the other hand, the shock of impact of the skis on the ground is impressive, and should break the ribcage of a normal human body, hum... Thanks for this posting Jarno! ;-) Btw: I could not reach you by mail within the last months (for the testing of the G3 prototype). What about an attempt next sping?). My mail: bvonlanthen@vtx.ch Fly high! Boris Gibolin from Switzerland
  3. My idea is that the "landing gear" is a key factor, such as the preparation of the project. The "step by step method" proved to be a good one for my personnal projects so far. So here is the idea: the one who masters the sliding on a steep ski slope at very high speed and can take-off a wingsuit, will be able to land as well. So why not take the challenge by this angle? Then you can try to land after a jump from a ski jump (like the ones i've visited this summer in Norway: small for beginners, big for experts. And btw, how fun it could be to play with a wingsuit from a skijump, with the same risks as for ski jumpers, without a plane and a parachute!)... ;-) Then comes the part where you increase the speed and altitude of the start of the jump. 4. ... a"super V3" in fact! Gibolin from Switzerland
  5. Yessss! The adventure can keep going. Let's all see if the results can be that good with proper tests! Happy to see the community is moving its ass for the project, thanks! Put a smile mon my face! Btw: Fish, did you get my SMS yesterday? Gibolin from Switzerland
  6. Ok, you mark one point!... But it's a tricky game: you don't claim anything, people don't pay attention. That's a fact of life... You deserve the naked truth maybe: While finishing the proto nr 3, I've been working 10 hours a day during 2 months, because I was jobless. At the very end of the work, my wife was giving birth to my second child. My reserve chute was due to repack, the Cypress was over, and my license too. When it was still time to do the tests (chute still ok, measure tools ok, pilot ok), the manufacturer didn't send the demo suit for comparison. So the only measure was on the 1st test flight. Not enough to be published a proper way. But the measures were read on the tool for sure. New tests must be done to prove anything. Sorry for those who thought they had been lied... 7. Hector: you beat them all ! Do keep your Aloha spirit, mate! Gibolin from Switzerland
  8. You really think like a manufacturer... Gibolin from Switzerland
  9. Si le Fish n'existait pas, il faudrait l'inventer!... Bisou! Gibolin from Switzerland
  10. Wise interpretation. Congrats! I'm a physiotherapist. I've interested myself in the anatomical component of the wingsuit. A bad body position in the best wingsuit flies badly. A good body position makes a big part of the performance. Now take a wingsuit which helps a bad flyer having the proper position. What could be the result?... Gibolin from Switzerland
  11. If I could find a test pilot tall enough! I'm 1m89. 1m85 is ok (Olivier Vietti's height). Otherwise, it might be too small I fear... Gibolin from Switzerland
  12. This is what I was looking for! Thanks! Now let's see how we can make it. Be sure all skydivers will benefit from all this. I don't do it for myself, I do it for the passion which has driven the last 20 years of my life!... I'll answer you privately. See ya and thanks again! Gibolin from Switzerland
  13. It took some time to be understood, but here it is! Thank you guys! I'll answer you privately. Thanks again, we can go forward finally... Gibolin from Switzerland
  14. Keep being a happy dude, Dude! Gibolin from Switzerland
  15. Sorry to insist, but there is a data. Make a move, propose something to make things go forward and I'll show you everything. Keep complaining, weeping and blah blah blah, and you won't have anything. In what world are you living? The lala-land? Say I'm a liar, I really don't care. You can have your opinion and I respect that. I feel sorry for you that you misundestand the way I took to get some help. Help me instead of bringing me down (because saying " I've been lied" is not very optimistic, right?). Do something constructive, enough blah blah. Some action now! If you really want to discover, just like me, if I've found something interesting for the wingsuit flyers. And by the way, I think we're all passionnate people about flying. I've quit the skydiving a year ago. I won't jump anymore. I just feel sad to have a great prototype which took me 8 years of hard work and just don't have enough energy to keep going. And I come to this chat and meet people with expectations: "I've been lied... you're interested into money... show us your results"! Hey guys, cool down. Can't we talk a calmer way? I do it FOR FUN ! And seriously, talking like that with people a bit "agressive" for my taste is no more fun at all. So come down and let's talk, ok? If someone is ready to help, I will lend him my prototype. We could measure his flights with good tools, then compare with his own suits. Then if the guy beats his personnal record, it's perfect! Then I give the community the results of my work, FOR FREE !!! (You can print that if you like, sorry I can't sign it). But if that community doesn't give me any kind support, why should I help this community myself? I have nothing to lose, nor to gain, don't you understand that? So be cool guys, that's a minimum... In what kind of world are we living? Now my size is 1m 89. Olivier Vietti is 1m85. Smaller might be too small I guess, and might be dangerous as well. This prototype was tested only once (when the one and only measure was made, so not enough to be relevant, that's why I don't show it). The prototype is not safe, even for a test pilot. You might test it at your own risks. I might ask the measure tools to Airtec, but not sure if they will agree to lend us that again this time too. Your chute will require some specific parts to fit with the suit. There is also a specific helmet to test with the prototype. So, who wants to make it? Gibolin from Switzerland
  16. One simple question: are you interested in knowing if this prototype is fast and competitive, or if I was right to say "best in the world"? Because claiming this was to focus interested people on my "problem" of lack of help. Do you want to help or keeping arguing around those "details"? Because for me claiming "best in the world" is nothing. Anybody can say so. Now help me to prove it is: Come, jump, test, and even if you beat your own personnal record and not the world record, it will be cool enough to prove there are interesting things in my concept. then we will be able to share all this knowledge. I'm ready to do it for free and for anybody. But i need the skydive community to give me a hand this time. I can't continue alone. So guys, who wants to help the research?! DO A MOVE !!! Let's keep the dream alive! Gibolin from Switzerland
  17. Would be perfect and easy! Gibolin from Switzerland
  18. I don't take people for foolish and never did. Read DSE's answer and understand the kind of reaction i was looking for. Nothing else to add... Gibolin from Switzerland
  19. "Claims" were useful to make people talk about it. Now DSE says he can help proving the performances. So let's do it with his help. It's exactely what I was looking for... All the rest is blah blah in my opinion... Gibolin from Switzerland
  20. Halleluia! This is exactely what I was looking for, so THANK YOU !!!!
  21. Well, what else to say? All of this is too hectic, agressive and a bit childish for me. I don't see anything constructive after this time spent to try to explain my point today on this chat. Never mind. You know, I don't have any chute anymore, I've quit jumping a year ago after 20 years in the sport, and I don't see the fun to keep trying answering to people with that behaviour. I had my fun. Nothing to prove. Just needed some help to keep the project going forward. Do you seriously think I would have spent such a long time, energy and money for a project worth nothing? Think about it ! ... Anybody wants to do some more tests with the prototype on their own expenses? Just let me know. I could not do anymore tests than just one, due to many personnal factors. I was astonished by the results and so "published" to make people talk about it. And they did. Now instead of being childish and saying blablablah, be constructive and give solutions/ new opportunities to make this prototype show its value. The measure that I have is far not enough to prove on a scientific basis, so let's forget about it ok? I personnally don't have any time/ energy/ money left for keeping going on. If you want to say my project is not worth, I'm ok with this. I don't know you, so what's the point? Anyone can have an opinion. But again, I insist: do you really think I would have done all this if i was not sure it was worth it? I maybe did some communication mistakes. But I didn't have the opportunities to break the world record to prove it was valuable. If it would have led to a future for my project, I would have tried. But I didn't have the opportunity. Now I don't know if you've ever designed, then cut and sewed, and finally tested a prototype of your own in your life? At least, you could have some respect for that work. But again, I don't even know your real name, so what's the point? Anyway, if anybody has something constructive to propose after understanding what I've tried to say: let's talk on my blog. www.gibolin.ch Bye for now! Keep being positive, keep your dreams alive, be happy people and Aloha! ;-) Boris vonlanthen aka "Gibolin" Gibolin from Switzerland
  22. ok, let's forget about all this. Good luck to you and have fun in the sky! Gibolin from Switzerland
  23. Because it doesn't show nothing at all. Only a comparison test, testing the suit and not the pilot's skills, could be interesting for me. I'm not interested in something else. If you could sponsor me a windtunnel session, I would be ok too. So forget about trying to prove I can break the world record with my suit. I'm not interested. I don't know the best pilot in the world. It's pointless... Now, if I can discuss with valuable, serious and constructive people, we will discuss around the table and speak about the results, with datas etc... Until then, forget about it. Do you know a website where all manufacturers show their tests' datas? I've asked them directely: nothing available. Why should I play that silly game with different rules that them? Let's be fair play, stop judging and be cool ... Gibolin from Switzerland
  24. Pay for some more tests with proper instruments if you want this. Sponsor me! And stop weeping for what you want: just do it yourself, smart ! You will see what it takes. Until then, your words are just words... ("BS" as you say). Gibolin from Switzerland
