You've got to be kidding. Letting him get back on his reigns? It's a chore? I don't even know how to respond to that. When your dude is old and crushing Viagra like it's candy maybe you can look over and say - remember when my friend wanted to come over and fuck us both all weekend and you were too much of pussy? Bet you wish you could have that one back.
-
It is? See if he still has a man card. When it comes to 3 ways or strange on demand, terms are completely meaningless as long as standards are met. Just had a thought - have you completely broken this guy?
-
Do you believe that charges of abuse and dereliction of duty were warranted in this case?
-
You know how I know you're gay? eta - If you could pull the chick, maybe Shane would want to meet you.
-
Actually it didn't, but it would have been better if it did. There's ten minutes I'll never get back. I should know better by now.
-
Are they actually planning to do it, or is it really just bs that people are "reporting" on?
-
Other than the irony of this post, am I missing something here? How is this different than the guys trying to expose ACORN? Other than the criminal action and the ideologies being reversed.

Sure it does, unless your patriotism or faith is unexamined. The Declaration of Independence is the source document that spells out the principles the United States was founded on. If those principles are altered, how can you still be a patriot in the same way? If John 3:16 was changed to: For God so loved the world that he gave them beer so they could drink and be merry, the underlying meaning is completely changed, as would be your faith. That's why it really is important. I think I get what you're saying - that you are a patriot no matter if some people are able to change a few words around and that's great. The point I'm making is that if we continue to change things here and there as a matter of convenience to the belief of the day, generations down the road there will be a disconnect. I think we're already seeing it to some degree today.

To me, they are so much more than just words. It's the foundation of everything we, as a nation, are built upon. So important that I took an oath to defend those words with my life - just as you did. Yeah, they may just be words, but they're awfully important words to me.
-
And I would guess that's because it fits into your beliefs. I would prefer that we preserve American history regardless of what our beliefs are. ETA - How would you feel about the opposite - removing all references to god or creator from the Declaration of Independence?
-
I think it strips the historical purpose or at least changes it. If you read the entire Declaration of Independence for example, it paints a pretty incredible picture of what life in Colonial times was like and why the colonies wanted to become independent of England. If we were to remove or add words based on current events, the document becomes detached from its history. As originally written, the pledge had nothing at all to do with god or religion in any way. Its a shame what it has been turned into.
-
The Declaration of Independence exists today as it was written, the pledge does not.

And I thought getting picked last for kick ball in grade school sucked. I'm starting my own kick ball league. SUCK IT Jesus!

I'm guessing that the rationale is that anyone who has a concealable weapon has already passed the background check when it was purchased,. That's a seriously flawed assumption. Correct - meant to say anyone who legally has a concealable weapon
-
I'm guessing that the rationale is that anyone who has a concealable weapon has already passed the background check when it was purchased, so performing the same check again on the law abiding citizens is wasteful spending and criminals just bypass the process all together. I would further guess that unlawful possession laws remain the same - although it would seem to make sense to make them harsher. I'm very interesting in Dave's opinion on this - from his perspective. btw - funny you thought you could get rational discourse on this subject.

This is drifting, but what does renouncing your citizenship have to do with it?

Well done america, what a great role model you are...
JohnnyD replied to rhys's topic in Speakers Corner
Yes, because "my ballot must have gotten lost in the mail" *wasn't* playing semantics, right? Please. ??? Somehow people think that as a "voting nation" it is the will of the constituents that we remain in Iraq. It is simply not true. -

It's too bad those words are lost in your memory. It is unfathomable to me how easily we have either conveniently forgotten or been redirected from the reason we attacked Iraq in the first place. Go ahead and play semantics all day. It makes us look abhorrent. -
I thought it was interesting that everyone seems to have a clip of it on their website. Every radio show I am listening to is saying "check it out on our website". They don't even need to buy commercial time to air it - everyone is doing it for them.

Really? My ballot must have been lost in the mail. The only vote was the one in Congress that authorized the president to use force because we were under the imminent threat of attack from WMDs. We fucked that up and have continued to thoroughly and completely fuck up for the following seven years with no real end in sight, although we continually say we are leaving. Point is: if it were really a vote of the American people, I think we would be gone yesterday. -
Is there a drug with a street name of "Water"?
JohnnyD replied to turtlespeed's topic in The Bonfire
Seriously? Seriously. PCP is a liquid, commonly called "water". Smokes or joints can be dipped in it, making them "wet" or it can be sprayed on pot = "wetting it down". -

Doctor to Patients Who Voted for Obama: Get Your Treatment Elsewhere
JohnnyD replied to Andy9o8's topic in Speakers Corner
As someone who works in the medical industry... A physicians practice is his private business. He is responsible to to keep it afloat and turn a profit just like any other small business owner. Many physicians don't take patients that are apart of the state funded program medicaid. Why? Too much paperwork and too little reimbursement; if they even get reimbursed. And your point is? Point is he thinks a doctor can ignore the AMA, the state licensing board and any civil lawsuit; doctors are above that. How's the weather up on that high horse? A physician in private practice is totally free to post that sign in his window and also free to make his/her own decisions on who he/she will or will not treat. I think it's stupid and the guy would lose my business, but who knows maybe he's crazy like a fox. He sure is getting a lot of free publicity.
