  1. I didn't mean you. I was referring to the people who still live here and have stopped jumping or have nearly stopped.
  2. A lot of the CO people posting here do not jump anymore.
  3. Without a doubt. This is also the man who wrote that the Geneva Conventions were outdated and the US did not need to follow them. Should have been gone long ago.
  4. Is he trying to get forced into retirement?
  5. I have a soft side water bed. Most comfortable thing ever. It looks exactly like a conventional mattress and has a box spring under it. It also has a pillow top, so no heater, which is nice. If the sheets are off, you can't tell its a water bed. Some of the best money I ever spent.
  6. Too Funny! I had the same problem with my wife and Keith. I am trying to talk about the bad ass head down night jump we just did and drink a beer with my friend and my damn wife keeps butting in talking about other stuff. Poor Keith - wanted by so many, had by ???
  7. Go ahead or send me a PM if you want.
  8. Speaking of which - I remember a long time back when a bunch of drunk dudes were cruising along the canal road between Utica and LaSalle one night and one of them managed to not see a fence and decapitated himself. They were looking for his head in the dead of night and someone said: I found his helmet - Oh, and his head too. Did you ever take that Wild Bill picture in Troy Grove?
  9. Welcome home Max! I wish I was as eloquent as some others in my ability to express my gratitude for your service, your upbeat nature and refusal to get down during your recovery, and most of all your return to work. Blue skies bro!
  10. First, you are assuming that everyone is supposed to be aware of the exercise. The officer involved moved there from elsewhere - also something you posted - so he didn't have the benefit of experience with that particular situation. Second, there are some people in the world who, in the face of all facts contrary, can not be brought to reason. Talking to such people is a complete waste of time and brain matter. With that, I'm out.
  11. YES! - and the reason is they said so. Holy crap, you're the one who even posted it.
  12. ??? I'm not even sure what that means. All parties involved admit that the local authorities were not notified, yet you still refuse to believe it. You're saying the Army is lying? Maybe I'm missing something here, because the blatant disregard of the facts is just mind boggling.
  13. So, you're saying that the Army Special Operations Command Investigator is lying?
  14. All I see here is someone who wants to believe that the cop is at fault so badly that he is ignoring evidence, court rulings, and even facts.
  15. I read it. Seemed to me to be a very detailed recounting of the facts by a policeman and differing accounts by the two remaining plaintiffs, which had to be discounted at times due to differnces. Not to mention, inconsistencies in the facts between investigators. I'm no lawyer and certainly not a judge, so I am thankful there are people like you who apparently know more about the law than most people who get paid to know about the law, so you can bring such injustices as this to light. Keep us posted on your legal victories!
  16. Yeah, that judge doesn't know shit about the law. Good thing you're on the case now.
  17. No biggee. I overeacted. I read the court ruling and tried to put myself in the officers shoes and wonder what I would have done differently. Don't know. The court ruled he didn't do anything wrong. Shitty situation all around. One phone call could have changed it all.
  18. It was clearly established - by the Army - that they did not notify local authorities. In fact, another vehicle with exercise participants was stopped around the same time as the one in question. That officer also did not know of the exercise, and neither did the sherrif. I'm sure all the procedures are in place and followed now that there has been an incident (in 2002 actually). Its a bummer, but as someone said earlier, completely preventable. Steverino - no intention to offend.
  19. I'm not sure what you're reading, but there is actually a very detailed explanation of the reasons for the stop and why it was legal - written by the judge. If you read the court document, it seems this guy is in a rural environment with three suspects acting very strangely. Situation escalates and the officer responds. He even went so far as to employ non-lethal methods before firing his weapon. I'm surprised the gun freaks here aren't suggesting this guy should get a free dinner or something. Maybe the Army should be trying to recruit him. He made some pretty short work of a truck load of green berets.
  20. Did he switch parties? Death Week was a republican. I don't know if I can get behind "Charles Light"
  21. Barkley did. I think it was a Nike commercial. He also beat up Barney on SNL and threw a midget through a window at a strip club. That has got to be worth a couple votes right there.
  22. Exactly. I still think it would be entertaining at the least and probably beneficial. btw - Stay safe. You go back very soon right? If you need anything, just hit up my email here.
  23. If what you post causes people to question the depth of your alliegence to the basis of American culture, then I would say that you either have an inflated opinion of your views about what America is or you are coming across very wrong. All my money is on the latter.
  24. Slight tangent: I saw an interview with Sir Charles years ago when he was hinting at running and a reporter asked him what he thought about death row. Charles replied that he didn't believe in death row. The reporter was surprised and asked if he would try to get the death penalty repealed. In classic Charles form he says: I don't believe in death row. I believe in death week. Just enough time to get all your mail forwarded and say goodbye. He was serious.
