  1. It's a pretty brave move. Spiking gas prices and increasing our reliance on foreign oil in the short term could be political suicide if alternatives are slow to develop.
  2. That's being proposed, although as part of deficit reduction not development. http://www.api.org/Newsroom/upload/R40715_Report_on_Oil_Industry_Taxes_2009_07_21.pdf This will be interesting to keep an eye on. If these changes are included in the budget, I think it will seriously decrease production in America.
  3. None. They don't know so they ask questions - that's how they got the name. What is terribly annoying is the 100 jump wonder who is asking about setting up a company to do advertising to get anyone and everyone to the dz so he/she can make free jumps until they get ratings so they can give back to the sport. This person is also the one with pictures of them skydiving all over their office/cube/cardboard box who never stops telling you stories about how extreme and cool they are.
  4. So does everyone that voted for Clinton, by that 'logic'. ????
  5. I found the perfect card for you, but they said it is some sort of a crime to chip the cave paintings off the wall. Figures. I'll tip one back for you L-P old school style tonight.
  6. Nope! I am 52 and I still enjoy life You should try it Shit. Sorry - I guess.
  7. Do you know what the current child labor laws have produced? Children who think that life should be handed to them, with little to no effort, on their part.. What a patently silly statement. Dickens, anyone? Please sir, can I have some more? He came from a don't hurt don't fail home Woosh.
  8. Posted as a true T-legger!! What is a T-legger on your planet? Those supporting Obama with tingly leg syndrome T-legger's Ok. Thread drift: Seriously, you're in you're thirties, right? The smiley faces are annoying and detract from what you're attempting to say, which you really don't need because your conveyance of written english is bad enough on it's own.

  11. Technically, you're correct. She said you can see Russia from Alaska.
  12. Your junk looks like a worm?

    Can't reach it, huh?
  14. Regardless of right/wrong issues, I don't think that defense works in court. Dr. Kevorkian?
  15. When you do things in full view of the public you absolutely have to expect public scrutiny. What are the police to do if they ignore this and then are accused of not doing their job? FWIW - I don't disagree with VFW guy that something should have been done and it's great that it was handled without the police in a manner that both parties agreed to, but holy shit those guys are both idiots.
  16. Exactly what level of attention would you expect if you duct tape someone to a flag pole with a sign around his neck in full view of the public for six hours? I would expect exactly what happened.
  17. Really? How would you feel if the local police charged VFW guy with a crime? Is that accountability or is just situational?
  18. Taping someone to a flag pole sounds like maturity to you? Um.....ok.
  19. Nonsense. They guy did it of his own free will... you keep forgetting that. You can continue to feel that way, but it does not make it right. This is just another example of you taking the antagonistic side on ANY issue that deals with the military or former military. Is Dr. Kevorkian not in prison for assisting someone to commit suicide? Did that person not actually perform the procedure of their own free will? Yes and yes. Sometimes in life, we do things that we know will come with consequences. Some people will avoid things because of the consequences and some people will think the risk is worth it. The VFW guys obviously thought the potential consequences were worth it. I don't see a problem.
  20. DUDE do you know how freaking expensive it is to live in HI! ACK Not to mention I've lived on an island before, and if I'm going to live on an island again it's going to be New Zealand. g Hawaii is the most expensive state to live in. That's why you have to negotiate an appropriate salary after you have gone to the interview and they have offered you a job. If the absolute worst thing that could come out of it is you can't negotiate an appropriate salary and along the way you got to scuba/skydive/surf/lay on the beach in HI on someone's dime, how do you not take that trip? Please send me their website. I'd love to float a resume for that job.
  21. So, they want to fly you and your husband to Hawaii for an interview and you declined? Find the nearest wall and smash your head against it. Repeat until you are feeling better.
  22. Looks like a tour bus driver uni with the microphone and all. Looks like the bus pulled over at a gas station bathroom. - I know you work for BP
  23. Is your tour bus parked outside?
  24. Seems like a very logical response. Brilliant way to carry yourself at work too.
  25. Who's name is on the lease?
