    Pretty much the same as me. 1k footer down the road that doesnt require a ton of work to jump. (obviously depending on how high you want to climb). But I also love freeflying and swooping and I cant do that stuff without an airplane, so I skydive. BASE 1384

    Do they allow the use of base rigs at Lodi? I mean, they obviously don't adhere to other FAA regulations, so I assume it's all fair game? If so, I'll start the bidding at 1 cent Canadian.     haha what a lame DZ. I wonder why people even go there if the whole idea of FUN in jumping is being taken away.. The fossil who's running everything needs to go to the retirement house. For once I actually agree with you. Why would anyone want to jump a dropzone where: You cant swoop You cant fly wingsuits The airplanes are poorly maintained. I'm sorry but I am having a hard time seeing it. Definitely not somewhere I would plan to visit. BASE 1384

    Just to clarify - landing downwind in a 15kt wind can be accomplished perfectly safely as I and countless others have proved. You really think he doesnt know that? 15 kt plus the speed of a canopy could be fatal if you flew into something. BASE 1384

    It was a low handheld jump. So the PC starts right by your head. eta....looks like there was a slight crosswind from right to left, which depending on the delay can blow your pc and bridle right into your helmet. I have had it happen before. BASE 1384

    I agree with everything right up to the last sentence. Hand cam is here to stay, learn to live with it. A guy who's been skydiving since the late 60s told me that when people started jumping ram air parachutes, the mantra was "it's a fad", and "you guys are going to kill yourself's with those things."     I get that. If the chest strap breaks under the weight of a hanging body, then a hard opening would make it fail too. no if the snag point has a burr or edge that can cut into the nylon I prefer a chest strap made from webbing BASE 1384
