    That suck about your gear. Did you just leave your gear sitting around? And did anyone at the dz see anyone NEW lurking about? I'm surprised no one saw anything. I hope you find it, and I hope Karma bites them hard if they get away with it! My drinking team has a skydiving problem

    AFF 1, or CAT A (same thing) is the easiest jump you will make, your instructors will ensure you have a stable freefall and that you pull on time. Just remember to do everything they tell you, like arching, altitude awareness, remember your landing pattern, etc. They will also have you on radio and tell you when to flare. It was for me the easiest jump I ever made except for my two tandems of course. And they wont let you jump if you aren't ready. I saw a guy get ready to board the plane and they asked him to touch his first handle(handle 1 main pc) and he grabbed handle two the cutaway, so they told him he couldn't jump until he remembered the correct sequence. I think he had to come back another day. Just remember to listen to your instructors and you will be fine. Have fun and smile! My drinking team has a skydiving problem

    Hello, you should also consider Skydance skydiving in Davis, CA. Its in Northern California and were having a blast out there. Its worth a phone call at the least. 1800 skydive. Cheers My drinking team has a skydiving problem

    90 years and/or life in prison area a bit extreme in this case, I mean some people (OJ) get away with murder. I think the whole "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" law comes into play here. But the umbrella that should be used on them would have to be large and rusty!     You guys all make great points here. I have several options as I see it. A) Return the rig when it arrives B) Buy the rig but trade/sell the stiletto for a more docile canopy C) Buy the rig and put it in the closet for a while I am leaning towards option B right now. But if my instructors tell me to return the rig I will. At least I have options! Thanks for all the input guys, I really do appreciate it. Yes I have, I have started on the 280, went down to the 260, then the 240. Now they want me on the 230. I have demonstrated great canopy skills so far and have a wonderful time under each canopy.     So how many jumps do you actually intend on doing in this rental gear downsize progression? I will only buy this gear if it passes our riggers evaluation. And I plan on making as many jumps as I need to on the rental gear to be able to handle the stiletto. I'm not gonna jump it until I my coaches and I feel that I am ready to jump it.     Definitely check out the Classifieds, though. I got a sweet canopy in great condition for about $350. $350? wow, how many jumps on that canopy? What shape is it in? And so far (in the small number of jumps that I have) I have had all good stand-up landings, great landing patterns and great flares. My drinking team has a skydiving problem

    Stiletto.. whoa. Do your instructors know about this? What size is the Stiletto? Fully elliptical canopies (like the Stiletto) are recommended for people with at LEAST 500 jumps. What made you go for the rig with the Stiletto? I'd recommend looking around in the Classifieds section for main canopies. Maybe you can find a more reasonable canopy for your skill level at a decent price that you can switch out until you are ready for the Stiletto. Good Luck! Well it is 190, and I don't plan on using it until I have downsized through the rental gear. Also I wouldn't use it until my instructors tell me I am ready. Plus like you said I can switch it out with an easier canopy for a while if need be. Thanks for the concern, I appreciate it. My drinking team has a skydiving problem

    Hi billeisele, Really just get whatever is cheaper unless you plan on printing a lot of photos. I have used just about all the printers on the market and they all seem to last about the same amount of time. The nicer photo printers are pretty expensive but you get what you pay for.     There is a rig on its way to my dz right now. So I hope all goes well (item as described) and I buy it. The thing is, I will have to buy an aad and I wont be able to jump it for a while since it has a stiletto (advanced canopy). But after I cycle down through the rental gear (over time) it will be waiting for me! Cant wait! My drinking team has a skydiving problem

    Funny. Mine worked the other way. My AFF jumps were an experiment in terror, whereas my first solo was SO PEACEFUL. Weird.

    Nice porpoishead, I almost have everything checked off my card, probably 2 or 3 more jumps, but that would put me at 16 jumps, so I will also have to do a few solos to get to 25 jumps. But I will be there soon, I jump at least 3-4 times now when I make it out to the dz. I really want the license! It sure does get cold on the sunset load My drinking team has a skydiving problem

    As long as you use a secure browser like firefox, and have an updated firewall then you are secure. Also use something like spysweeper, or spybot search and destroy to find bugs and spybots! A good antivirus program will add the final security touch. Also make sure you keep all of these products up-to-date! Safe surfing and blue skies My drinking team has a skydiving problem
