I suport that one. If there are groups bigger than 3 or 4 you can add a second or two.. Shouldnt be to hard to do... A skydiver's famous last words: - Hey! Hold my beer, and watch this...! - If that guy can do it, so can I...! - In 9 out of 10 this will work out just fine. Don't worry about it...!

Have you ever thrown up in the plane?
flydude replied to GPSJane's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Yes Ive thrown up. Not proud of it, why would I, but not ashamed either. Laugh at it if it comes up during conversation. It was during my studentperiod. Did my first skydive that day. Didnt feel anything on the way up on the first. Was too damn focused and confused I guess. But during freefall my stomach wouldnt cooperate, and after the chute opened I threw up a little. But that just flew away, so no worries. Felt droggy (?) afterwards. Did pass though. Dont know if the JMs know it... Just said I didnt feel too well, and wanted to wait with level 2. Some hours later I wanted to try. On the way up there was, as far as I could feel as a new student at the point, pretty turbulent. We went through the jump in the plane and I told my JM I didnt feel too well. He said I was just nervous, and should think of something else. I tried and it worked for about 2' ft or so. But at 8-9' I said I was about to throw up. One JM got the one in front of me to stand up, and the other went to the cockpit to find a bag. When he came back, all that used to be in my stomach was on the floor, and in my helmet, which had holes in 'em. The others werent too happy, but felt sorry for me. They only had 2 min left in the plane, so it wasnt too bad for'em. One JM bailed out, because he got sick, and the other one went with me down. The next day I got some motionsickness-pills. Better be on the safe side. That was the 2. time Ive thrown up in a plane. Dirst time was in an acroplane. The bag was just seconds too late that time also! It was to late when the pilot tourned around to hand it to me... Oh well.. If that is whats going to happen when something is going wrong, Im glad enough.. Worse thing can happen during a skydive than some womit! A skydiver's famous last words: - Hey! Ok. Caus' my dad is planning on buying one of your rigs, with Skyhook, and Im going to tell him about this to. Only 25$ more isnt much considering the total price of a new rig. Dont know when he's planning on ordering it, but guess sometime next month through a shop in Norway. A skydiver's famous last words: - Hey! Sorry if this is answered before, or Ive misunderstood something: Are these magnets optional for all UPT (RWS) rigs? It says on the frontpage that its for some micron sizes. But whatabout the Vector III M-seires rigs? And if its only optional for Micron, what is the difference between them? A skydiver's famous last words: - Hey! Funniest / most embarrassing first jump reaction
flydude replied to pilatus_p's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
He jumped some more jumps, but had to leave the course beacause of work. I met him about a month later at the DZ and he was still jumping. Managed to get his A during the summer. Funniest / most embarrassing first jump reaction

Had one at mye course that wasnt too easy to get out of the door. I didnt get to see it myself, but a friend of my made a hop'n'pop jump and got to see him jump. This was a AFF level 1 from a tailexit-plane. He was sitting in the plane, normally nervous. Nothing extraordinary about the trip up. But when JM says "Ready to skydive?", he immidiately says no. JMs stands up and grab him. Gets him to stand up and he continues: no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no...... All the way to the back of the plane. Standing at the edge he forgets to start his prosedure. He just stands there. Primary JM gets him started; "Primary?" He takes a big breath and starts. "Primary?" "OK!!" He mumbles for himself no, no, no, no, no. "Secundary?" "OK!" A little louder now; No, No,No, No, No. UP, no, no, no, no, DOWN, No, No, No, No, No, OUT!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo....................... - and silence. After his chute opened, this I heard, he screams like a little girl. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA All the way down he screams a little now and then. Landing on the outer edge of the landingfield, and screams again. He comes running back and says he wants to go again. NOW! He passed level 1. A skydiver's famous last words: - Hey! And maybe it doesn't mean that. Maybe it means a lot of things. Not for us to judge, because we're not the ones jumping out of the airplane. Maybe it will click on the next jump and all the training will come together to turn this person into the next world class skydiver. Maybe your brag of 7 jumps means you're a hot-shot, and so you'll be in the incidents forum. Or not. Lots of very dedicated skydivers have taken more than their required 7. I passed everything in less than 7, but the DZO wouldn't sign me off regardless of what my instructors told him. Now I'm a 200 jump wonder and I suck at what I should be good at by now. Does that mean I should start bowling? It was never in my intention to brag about getting all AFF jumps at the first try. A lot of people manage that. Thats what I wanted to tell the thread-starter. That it is possible. Some make it in 7 - some don't. Possibly I didnt make my point in the reply clear enough, and I apologize for that, if thats so.. My bad! And of course - theres no saying in that if you dont make it in the first 7, youre not going to be good! I guess a lot of professional skydivers today didnt make it in 7. A lot of things can be the reason for failing a level. A skydiver's famous last words: - Hey! No, you didn't. 25 jumps is a hard requirement. And the point of the original posting is not for bragging. I wondered about that m'self. Even if you had an unethical DZO that would sign off an A at 18 jumps, this would require a dishonest entry of information on the A license application. Unless of course, the A license in question isn't a USPA license but rather another organization outside the US? I'm norwegian... The limit is 18 jumps for A (in total) And, no. i didn't post to brag. But I got some feeling of "hard to get all AFF jumps on the first try", or something like that. I know I'm not the only one in the world to do that, but if this new student thinks so, I wanted to tell him its possible to do it. But using 60 AFF jumps - thats...well.. maybe you're not meant to skydive.. A skydiver's famous last words: - Hey! AND determination. WOW And money It took me 7 jumps, and after 18 I had my A-licence. 51 and I got B

Id like to hear about that to.. What happens if you get a linetwist with these? Will they stick together? Or are they the same polarization, so they reject eachother? Is this idea going to be used on the other covers on the rig? Like the reserve- and main flaps? Are these new covers delivered with all new Vector rigs? A skydiver's famous last words: - Hey!
