If you're main d-bag has brass grommets and rubber bands you may want to open it and remove the bands, the brass can stain and the bands will start degrading too. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

My First Posted Video - Poised Exit
plummeteer replied to Gato's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Can I have your autograph, now that your a Movie Star, as well as a Sky Jumper, and Musician? Merry Christmas P.S. Shelby can't wait to sit on your lap and lick you all over; again. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare -
The title of it say's nothing about a V3, just Micron. But I'll put my big lumbering V3 there anyway. 'Cause just like everyone else, I think mine is cool! Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

Nice poem, did you write it? I don't think the sport is dying, I fear it could far to easily though. My most limiting factors are, Time: Family so only 1 day for nearly all weekends: Weather: C182 DZ, 2 but don't have 2 pilots very often anymore so limited amount of loads and lots of Tandems: Usually working, often in FJC and/or editing Tandem videos. You're old? I'd ask how old, but maybe it's been asked before.... I guess I ought to do a search to see if it's ever been discussed before. I was wondering what that was he was toting around in his ass crack, the lump in his shorts looked big enough to be a six pack. How many warm beers did you drink? Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

Congrats again Gato, sorry I had to leave so early the other night. Thanks for the beer, unlike ChuteJump I've got something good to say about it. "It was cold". Next weekend we'll start doing 2 way drill dives, I've got one planned out, I sure we can hammer out 35 points or so on it (no video allowed). By the way, did you know it took me 2 yrs. 3 mos. to get my "A"? I believe it was in about the same number of jumps though. See ya soon! Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

S/L to Freefall Status - Some Lessons Learned
plummeteer replied to Gato's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I think I may have reversed the repellancy field for them many years ago. Now that I think about it, many of those people aren't around there anymore, maybe I repelled them elsewhere and attracted my own kind? Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare -
S/L to Freefall Status - Some Lessons Learned

Good job "Chill". The rest of us would like you to start picking up those thin layers of dumbass, seems we either slip on them or they stick to us Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare -
Gato, thanks for the kind words. Your "Rhythm Method" works because you (unlike me) have rhythm, and you seemed more relaxed using it, I did a standard count when we were practicing and you were getting everything done at the right time, so why not use it? You did well staying relaxed through the "don't fuck up" comment someone made prior to your C&P too. Plus, it may keep you from getting pregnant someday Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

How about your rigger's seal? The large version I am working on is too detailed to shrink to this size, so I made a simple version. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

I was already working on a sticker that sized down would work well for this, I'll share it when it's more complete. If anyone still has any interest. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

You can find an outline for a Business plan at the Small Business Journal web site. I wrote one using their guide lines, just to help me clarify my goals and expectations on a spare time Business I am doing (didn't have to have one for a Bank or Investor, since I have none). The other posters are no doubt giving you a true picture of costs and chance of full time success. But if your buddy truely knows the chances, who's to say you can't eventually make it happen? Maybe he "needs" a Business investment with little or no return for a tax write off? I've known lots of only moderately well off people that started Business' expecting to break even at best, for that reason. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

She's unimpressed by Axel Rose wanna-be's... He's mad because he is Axel. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

I chose none of the above because I'm a new Rigger that has been pondering the same question. Keep forgetting to ask the M.R. I rely on for info. So far I haven't found one in poor condition, but I'm sure I will eventually. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

Yeah, please post pic's, I'd like to see it. My ceiling is the only part that I know for sure how I'm going to finish. My boss did it to his basement, that he made into a game room/bar. Just sprayed it flat black (with proper preparation), looks like many a bar I've been in, after decent lighting is installed it just makes it look blanked out, you hardly notice it at all, sounds much easier and cheaper than hanging a ceiling, plus it will allow me another 6" or so for my canopy hanger inbetween the joists. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

I recently put a carpet in my basement for the same purpose, mine is fairly low pile home carpet, one layer directly on the concrete, I haven't had any comfort problems yet, but some padding under it at least down the center of packing area, or another layer on top for more cushioning couldn't hurtQuote. I bought factory seconds to save some money, the only thing wrong with it is the application of the dye, it has some mismatched color on one side, looks like chicken tracks (from a very large chicken). I'd like to hear about what methods you use for your walls, that's my next step, once I clear some more junk out and save the money. I think I'm going to call it my rigging cellar (or maybe dungeon). Midwest weather changes quickly, Summer usually has a few weeks to a month of very hot and humid conditions (time and severity varies from year to year). Spring and Fall change more often and quicker. We had several day's in the 70's last week with one in the 80's. It was maybe 50 today and "they" are calling for hard freezes tonight and tomorrow night. Temp's sometimes change 40-70 degrees in a matter of an hour or two. We jump year round (weekends) if the wind is reasonable, the clouds permit and we can get enough die hards. It doesn't snow all the time, in recent history (last 15 years or so) it seems like we hardly get any (not that I'm complaining). Winter, will get extreme (single digit temps) for a few weeks to a month usually. I wish I was spoiled to having fair weather all the time. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

That's funny as hell, nice find. I'll be printing myself a copy. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

Is your cert.# on the recent FAA sec.715 letter?
plummeteer replied to plummeteer's topic in Gear and Rigging
I received it yesterday. Took just under 8 weeks. I wasn't really worried about it, just thought that the number on the letter I received before it might have been the cert#. All good now anyway. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare -
Is your cert.# on the recent FAA sec.715 letter?
plummeteer replied to plummeteer's topic in Gear and Rigging
Thanks all, someone looked the number for me and PM'ed it. It is different than the number that was on the letter. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare -
Hadn't heard about that. But then I don't know what all they may be working on that's unannounced. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare

Is your cert.# on the recent FAA sec.715 letter?
plummeteer replied to plummeteer's topic in Gear and Rigging
Yes I got my symbol (and have the sealpress/die), I requested my cert.# not be my ssn. So I wouldn't recognize it yet since I haven't received the cert. Edo Concumbui Aethrae Cernuare
