I run a similar program on my PC - "Pop Up Stopper" and highly recommend it. It blocks pop up windows both good and bad - ads, attachments, etc. To view a pop up window I simply hold down control or shift - perhaps there is a similar setting in your program? Mine runs in the taskbar - you might want to look for a new icon in the lower right corner of your screen. (assuming you are on Windows) Matt

Although RW jumpers often pull lower than freefliers that is not an absolute. Exit order is based on time aloft so that groups don't drift over on another.
-
[reply} A standard exit lineup would be: large RW small RW solo belly freeflyers high pullers tandems AFF This brings up the question - what's a high puller? Some DZs think 2000-2500 is "normal pull" others preach that 3000 should be an assumed pull height because many people with snivelly canopies aren't willing to go to 2000 feet. I would tend to think that 4000 feet qualifies as a high puller - thoughts? -matt

One of the thing that it appears Yahoo does is filter based on the number of times a message is sent to Yahoo accounts. For example - about half the weekly e-mail deals on airfare I get go to my spam folder, the rest to my inbox. As far as I can tell the only difference is some of them are personalized with my name and/or departure city and end up in my inbox and those that aren't personalized end up in the spam folder. Oh - and getting rid of all html-formatted mail would get rid of the majority of Outlook users who haven't turned that default option off. This is good or bad depending on your opinion.

would you get out of the plane if?

In my short time in the sport (200 jumps) I've been on 2 loads with go-arounds due to air traffic spotted by the first group hanging their head out the door. Enough said. It's worth mentioning that both times the exit light never went on and the groups were looking before it was time to jump. -mb -
For Holidays you are generally best booking in advance - at least for domestic travel. For other dates it depends - if that flight that week doesn't sell well there will usually be last minute deals. If the flight is mostly sold you will pay a fortune.

Finally - beat it. Yes it's a very very slow Friday night.

So what I am hearing is that California is perfect except for too many people. Well given the liberal/socialist policies of your state I suggest the following. All Californian's will be limited to 2 10 years terms occupancy in the state. Outside of these 20 years residents must move to other states. Residents may earn up to 2 addition terms by spending at least 5 years in North Dakota, Arkansas, or Canada (not Vancouver). Any takers . . .

I thought Jesse The Brain fixed it so people would stop registering there cars over the border? Guess not.

Too addictive - I'm only at level 18 but only an hour wasted so far.

There are a lot of different opinions on starting wingloading. Some dz's rely on gigantic student canopies all through AFF, some start around .9:1 or 1:1 and may downsize during AFF. One side believes bigger is always safer - the other side would argue that a student should receive instruction on gear similar to what he or she will probably buy after AFP. One other factor to consider - what's the altitude of this DZ? Matt

The best Simpson seen has to be the one where Maggie, Lisa, and Bart are doing RW and Homer has fall rate issues and swoops in and takes out the formation. doh Ohh - you meant a scene that really aired ? ? ?

I'm not sure I would post the following to the internet - even with a bag over my head.

I'm interested and would vote for Indiana over Ohio since it's closer to Chicago. I kinda like the idea of bringing a turbine into a small DZ too. Matt

Does anyone know about rules on confiscating @ Airports?
mattb replied to kevin922's topic in The Bonfire
The news in Chicago just ran a segment showing the mounds of knives / scissors / corkscrews found at OHare and Midway. They handed them over to the police to dispose of. Twice my fiancee has forgetten to remove her fingernail scissors from her bag. Once they gave her the option of checking the bag, once they threw them out. -
Preferred video formats for skydivingmovies.com

I would vote in the following order - Windows Media AVI (non-DIVX) MPEG Quicktime Not - Real Media I don't insteall Real Media because it has too many features I don't like and Quicktime I find annoying with reminders to purchase the full version. Related question - how does one view DIVX files on a Windows Machine? Windows Media always seems to try and then fail to download the correct CODEC. (I have no clue as to the true meaning of what I just typed) Matt -
I just got back from San Francisco and despite all the fabulous food one night for dinner I found an In-N-Out instead of seafood, chinese, etc. Why are there not In-N-Outs in the midwest - home of the beefeater?

I agree that a regular Mach III is usually the best option. However, I can only do 4 or 5 days in a row before my skin starts getting mad at me. Also - I want something I can use w/o showering at 8:00 saturday night when I realize that a day and a half of uneven stubble looks horrible. Maybe you're right and it's hopeless but it seems there are a dozen ads an hour on tv for new razors and I was hoping one of them worked. Matt

I'm sick of shaving every morning. My electric razor broke about a year ago and I need to go get a new one. Prices range from cheap fo $200 - any suggestions? If it doesn't work well it's useless so I'm looking for a close shave, not the cheapest product. Thanks

Would it shut off under canopy so you could hear the jumper you're flying too close to yelling at you? Just a thought
