Not sure that I'd count out beach jumps completely. If the crowd is there, then it could still happen. I've still heard the topic being tossed around. Those of you who have the C, stop on by or at least make the call. That might be the pivot. If they know they will have the interest and the people, they might still do it. Call the drop zone 888-447-JUMP. Look forward to seeing you all there in 2 weeks!!

Thanks, skreamer. I had a really great feeling about being around these people. But hearing it from other divers who have been around for a while makes me glad to be heading for Immokallee to jump. I can't wait for the boogie!!! See you all there!

So with all this talk of beach jumping and what it takes, I am starting to wonder if anyone knows what else is going on there in a couple of weeks. I heard there are going to be some accuracy contests, maybe a relay or two, and a lot of fun at the DZ itself. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm driving over from Miami for at least one day of it....maybe even a couple of days. It's only about an hour and a half drive....not to bad. I've done it before, and will do it many more times. I definitely think the drive is worth it for the type of people we'll be jumping with.... See ya all there!!

I'm looking forward to being in Imokalee for the boogie. I've never been to a boogie, and have heard some great things about the people who come to visit and hang out for the weekend. Can't wait to jump out of a plane bigger than a C-182!!! Hope to see you all there!!

Just a question from a new jumper to the rest of the United States....where can I find a list of truly QUALITY drop zones around the U.S.? I've just recently gotten back into jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, and the crew at SkyDive Naples are some of the nicest people I've ever run into. Roy is one of the best teachers I've ever had. So I'm going to pass out of student status down there. I think it's a quality place, with people who give a damn about how well their students learn. But I travel a lot, and so am looking for other places that might rival them in the quality and attention to those of us who are not as experienced. (When I say travel, I mean that I move from site to site about once a month or so...) So being able to fit in on a drop zone without being just another number would be great. I may even pass through the same place a couple times a year!!! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
