So....I now own Cutaway, Dropzone and Point Break (of course) Hookin' It, Out of the Blue and Soul flyers....The winter here is going on for ever....any suggestions as to what I should be watching, Hollywood or not....? Re: Mr Hook Itlow...Is it me or is he totally missing the point of skydiving. I'll carry on jumping a 240 forever if it means I can have as much fun as this....i just feel sorry for him. This isn't meant to be another thread to add to his, just wanted to show my appreciation to all you guys...I've not been on here long and I've had a fantastic welcome with a lot of advice both personal and skydive related. I bloody love skydiving and it's the best thing I ever did, I wanna do it for as long as I can. Surely thats enough???? I'm not experienced, am still doing my consols but I had to retake my level 5...Did a great right hand turn and couldn't go left, banged in another right for luck anyway! At the risk of pissing off a lot of people on here can I ask if anyone else thinks Hersheys chocolate tastes a bit, well, like sicky parmesan cheese...bleugh!!! (ducks and covers head with hands ) Am recovering quickly though, with the help of a family sized bar of milk Green and Blacks.....Now thats what I call proper chocolate.....

Definitely.....!!! I talk about it so much even my other half keeps waking up all hours 'freefalling' and he's only done 2 tandems. Your life has changed and this is all you'll ever think about from now on.... With only one eye that works properly I have to take extra care about other sky traffic so hopefully those habits are already ingrained...and my tracking I'm working on. I have a kind of 'pimped up bouncy car' track at the moment which I'm working on so fingers crossed it'll all come together soon!! Well....The DZ is closed at the moment for winter sob otherwise I would...I'm lucky that they are the best bunch of guys to learn with and very easy to talk to. I just happened to read another post and (luckily!) it occured to me that I haven't been remembering to wave off. I guess with so much going on and the excitement of jumping (I'm only up to consol 4) I'd forgotten that its important to wave regardless...And as for trusting strangers, I have no problem with that. If you bullshit me though I'll hunt you down and whip your ass In all seriousness thanks for your reply! Apologies if I seem really dumb but forgive a newbie....Do I need to make sure I'm waving off when I jump on my own? I figure it would be vital for anyone flying near me but I only just realised I haven't been doing it on my last few solo's and I'd like to know if it would be a good habit to get into. I obviously realise that when jumping with others its very important! Nothing wrong with jumping when its cold...minus 20 at 12k last time i went up....little heater on the plane made the up journey very cosy and the smile was literally stuck to my face on the way down....! i don't mind all the waiting either...our place does fantastic bacon sarnies too, with no calories. Its true honestly! Am swotting up at the mo and spending all my free time reading and watching skydiving dvd's. I'm SUCH a saddo. Thank god for climbing otherwise i'd be throwing myself off every available surface practising my arch....the wheelie stool in the lab works a treat meanwhile though! Amen!! I gotta wait until the end of Jan and then it'll still be freezing (UK)....I go to the best dz in the world (honestly, its a fact!) but this is going to be the longest January in history! I'ts all i can think about at the moment.......sulk sulk sulk Hoorah for Christmas though, got given enough cash to buy myself a jumpsuit and alti WooHoo!!

I have been lucky (?) enough to have landed really well on each of my 12 jumps, by just waiting until I think its too late and then just 'feeling' the flair. my boyf thinks its because I can only see out of one eye and therefore see perspective more clearly. Eye however (geddit? - sniggers childishly) think that its all natural spectacular talent!
