Thank you....I know I can find this stuff out for myself but had a free 5 minute whinge period at work and thought I'd vent for a while, I really appreciate it. I think what I may do is get my ass down to the DZ and learn to pack...Bedford sounds like a great idea though if we get much more of this.....No I haven't done my 'hop n pop' yet as it was suggested that I get half way through my consols first which seems like a good idea. The weather here is poo and although I've passed my AFF level 7 (pauses for small hurrah!!) I've only managed to get in 1 consol and that was nearly 3 weeks ago. The weather report for this weekend is super windy AGAIN and I'm getting cross now. How long can I safely leave between jumps??? Hi everyone...I was born with no vision in one eye and except for my dodgy driving (only according to my family!) I've never had a problem...I'm new to the sport and am still completing my consols but (for what its worth) I've only landed on my backside once and find that depth perception isn't really an issue as long as I don't look at the ground directly beneath my feet!! Sounds a little odd I know but by using buildings or the flags I can judge the flair pretty accurately...I'm so pleased to read everyone’s else’s experiences as I was slightly concerned about jumping with my eyesight being the way it is!! hi..I'm from the UK too...don't even talk to me about the weather...I'm doing my AFF in Norfolk (just passed my level 6) and completely love it....do it, do it, do it!!! Don't actually mind waiting for gaps in the weather as it gives me time to practise and means I'll be super confident - gulp!?- come Spring...It also gives my aching legs a chance to recover! I've just started my AFF and I can honestly say that it has totally taken over my life. I love my job but now spend most of my days gazing out of the window checking out the weather! I'm currently waiting to do my level 6 and I'm really looking forward to it... So hello, hello and hello...hope to see you around!! X
