One option to get some sound would be to buy a PCMCIA sound card and use that with some external speakers.

AFF4 Issue - Spinning. Suggestions?
bigmike21 replied to chrismgtis's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I had the same problem and it was my legs. But the main thing is to relax. Whenever I get nervous one leg curls in and I don't even feel it, hence, I start spinning. When I'm relaxed my body position is perfect and no spinning. The tunnel will help you work on form, but does little to help you relax in the air. What I did was simplify my jump so I did not have to worry about doing to much. I just focused on relaxing and keeping a heading mainly. Practice that relaxed body position on the ground and take in the air with you. -
How much is the Deland course and how does it work?

After 56 Jumps.. Finally Got My A License!
bigmike21 replied to MagicGuy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Congrats. So after you finish AFF, you do solo jumps until you fill out your card for the A? Is that how it works? -
Very congested is an understatement. I almost missed my appointment.
-
I went sunday morning and had a blast. No flips, but I learned turning, hover control, forward and backward to specific points. Next time I will try backflying. I can't wait to go back.
-
I failed my AFF level 6 during the backflip portion. I got out of control and could not recover. Will they teach this to me in the tunnel? I bought 10 minutes and a coach for Sunday. Will this be enough time. I can't afford to fail level 6 again monetarily, and it was also a huge emotional blow.

Very large rig to fit very large person
bigmike21 replied to GPSJane's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Unless he's at 6% body fat, He could definately lose 15kg. Do the AFF in a week or two, then could go back to his regular diet and cut the extra cardio. He could probably lose 5kg in water weight before the weigh in with the proper regimine. -
Good luck to all, especially everyone from Palatka. These guys are looking awesome this year...LOOK OUT!!

Do they charge you extra when yu cut away or just the beer and liquor?
