  1. Thanks very much, the way you explained your whole argument has really helped (only quoted a small portion of it), I agree with you about the weather. Fear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa
  2. That's a really good idea, might do a s/l beginning and see how it goes, guess i could change to Aff if i wanted Brain is ticking nicely
  3. I have done a tandem, DOH! Could never have wanted to get my a licence without experiencing the 'real' thing first. Have also done 30 mins in the tunnel so the body position isn't a big issue for me. Thanks to all who have left comments, has been very helpful Fear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa
  4. Having spent quite a lot of time reading through these threads I thought I'd made a good decision by wanting to go the AFF route next year. However I keep seeing people recommending S/L as an 'old fav'. Just want some more direct opinions about this Which is better, AFF or S/L? Sorry if you've read threads like this many times before Fear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa
  5. Do some experiments and try it out for yourself. I think you'll find that most batteries will last a good while as certain, umm, 'appliances' don't use much power, not like an mp3 for exampleLOL Fear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa
  6. thanks hun Fear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa
  7. I've been watching a lot of sl jumps to decide if I should go that route rather than aff and had noticed many did get line twists, they mostly seemed to fall into a bad opening position after exiting the plane and ended up more in the head down position. Think I'll stick to Aff Fear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa
  8. ha ha, hilarious! it's actually coz then we can poison you more easily when being a sexist pig
  9. This is the most hilarious thread ever! Those proof pics are genius. Have to say in defense of bigway that Kevin Spacey has already been in a very sucessful theatre production here in London, not so long ago actually and he's really into English Theatre. Good for you bigway, I'd be excited too if it was someone I admired. And liking a gay actor does not mean you swing the same way, so stop taking the piss Fear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa
  10. And bite I will If you're too infantile to know where the logic is I suggest you go get some lessons from real men! Fear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa
  11. thanks, might check that out. Was thinking about Empuriabrava, any comments on that? Fear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa
  12. Not been to Hinton yet, Nethers a few times. Have a myspace page (know there's differing opinions about that site) my link is www.myspace.com/byasa. Will be looking for the best place to do my AFF 1 next year, so any suggestions etc... are most welcome. Feel free to contact me at bluelou20@hotmail.com too
  13. sorry, my mistake Fear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa

  15. quote from Freeflybella Uh...it's called circumcision and we do it to boys every single day. It's the exact same thing we do to boys. ----------------------------------------------------------- I'd just like to say that it is not the same thing! Boys are circumsized in a clinical setting, or should be, with anasthetic and sometimes it's done voluntarily. Personally I don't agree with it unless it's a choice made my the man himself when he's old enough to decide. The female version is actually known here in England as 'Female Genital Mutilation', which is what it is. I trained as a midwife at University for a year and during that time had many run ins with women from different Ethnic backgrounds who had been 'mutilated'. They didn't know which part of themselves were which and to be honest none of the qualified midwives could tell either. It was like looking at the end result of a horror movie bloodbath. This is done all over the world by unqualified people in sometimes squalid conditions and often with no pain relief whatsoever. It is inhumane and to be frank, one of the most grusome, discusting practices carried out in certain cultures today. In no way is it the equivalent to male circumcision. If we cut up a mans penis and left it resembling a smashed up sausage with no real shape or function then you could compare it. Would also just like to say that what I type is my opinion and take on things and I don't want to offend anyone, we all have rights to our own views. 16. Or if you're an attractive woman, you don't need a bike--You can just ride with me. };^) I'd say I'd love too but think the distance might be an issuelol Fear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa
  17. Thanks hun, yours is cool too
  18. Although at first glance this might look like a load of guys just slagging each other off, it's actually a cool thread. It's nice to see men being patriotic, no matter where they're from. At least it shows you care about your own countries and will stand up for what you're passionate about. No to the Euro! (yes I'm English:) Fear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa
  19. Just throwing in my own little observation here but what happened to - a guy who makes me happy or - a guy who I love with all my heart. Think girls can sometimes be a little too picky and specific. Just my opinion, not trying to rub anyone up the wrong way
  20. Hey girls, I was just wondering how a tunnel flyer from the UK would get involved in this. Have you guys ever thought of a sort of synchronised event in the Uk to run alongside the one you have over there. Would mean us 'English Totty' could make more of a contribution. Perhaps something to think about for next year. . . Sure the uk bodyflight chicks would be up for getting it organised, know I would PM me if you like or message me on myspace.com/byasa. Would love to try and help in a more pro-active way
  21. A guy on the day mentioned some kind of tablets I think he said they were for travel sickness:) thought he was making fun of me. The leg straps were very tight and a few people have said this might have been why but not sure if I'd like to jump with any straps being lose The eating thing sounds about right though, I hadn't had much if anything actually (accept a pack of fruit pastills!). Good advice to try another tandem first though, I wouldn't want to be under my own canopy then feel so sick I couldn't control it, or even try to. Just the thought makes me nervous as hell to be honest. Thanks very much for the advice
  22. Flew today at 10:30am. Can't believe the difference. It was very cold for a start and after getting off I felt like I'd done 10 rounds with a boxer. It was extremely bumpy and the helmet was too big and kept banging my head. It felt like my first time in a tunnel, infact it was worse than my first time, I could hardly get stable and only managed to get some good height 3 times before being knocked out of the flow by crosswinds. The guys who instructed sounded like they'd never been in an indoor tunnel before, which again I found a bit strange. They were asking lots of questions about the differences between their mobile unit and the airkix tunnel such as wind speed. They said they were headed back to Latvia to do some shows in their hometown. Contact Details they gave out are: Guntis Sefers, Email - www.guntis@aerodium.Iv Web - www.aerodium.Iv All that said it was a good experience and got a photo (£5 each!) which I'm gonna post on my myspace page. www.myspace.com/byasa if you're interested. There was a guy checking it out to possibly hire for an event of his own. Apparently there has been a huge interest in hiring it for more events in this country and they've been inundated with calls and emails already, great news for tunnel flyers and skydiving in general I think
