  1. The ceremony was fast and those of us close by that could get out there, did. It was standing room only by the time they started, so they would have needed a place at least twice the size if everyone that wanted to come, could have come. Jens scanned and uploaded the leaflet to the facebook group pics http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/photo_search.php?oid=126404017928&view=all I have no info on additional services, but it seems likely. As info is available, it will be posted to the facebook group as well as the WP, SOI, and SDV lists.
  2. Just wanted to let everyone know we reached our goal for the memorial page. THANK YOU SO MUCH to all those that sent money via paypal and those that made a commitment via check by snail mail and /or hand delivery. If you haven't already seen the memorial group page on facebook - it's here: http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=9518&post=58250&uid=126404017928#/group.php?gid=126404017928 When charitable donation information and / or trust fund info is available, we'll post it here.
  3. I've started an open group on Facebook called: In Loving Memory of Harry Parrish Anyone can join, post pics, and share stories of a wonderful man. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=126404017928#/group.php?gid=126404017928&ref=share I've volunteered to do the memorial page for Parachutist with (hopefully) some assistance from some from those closest to him to find the right words for such a great man. I'll begin working on it this week and get the space reserved before the August 14 deadline. The cost looks to be $1410 for a full page. I'll be collecting donations. If you wish to make a donation towards this with paypal PM me for details.
  4. Thanks for starting the thread John. I have an open Facebook album I've been adding people's pics to here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=135615&id=667469618&l=3557df49e5 Harry was a wonderful, warm, smart, and kind soul. He always had a smile and a hug for you. He was a pure joy to be around. He will be missed by so many. My heart goes out to Debbie. Bettina
  5. this is such sad news.... buz really was an all around nice guy. jonathan was saying last night, as we described buz to a friend of ours, how he knew every joke out there, without fail. he will be sadly missed by us and all the old SDV regulars. blue skies...

  8. my boy is nearly 15. he went in a few months ago (to a dentist - not the regular vet) for a cleaning, and to have some bonding done on a chipped tooth. i only recently learned that dogs can have all the same procedures as people. just as pricey too! i brush my dog's teeth 4 x a week. he's only needed a professional cleaning 3 times in his life. some may need it more, some less.

  19. my gourmet jumps include a bi-plane jump, a sikorsky helicopter, and a balloon jump (all around $80). all worth it. the balloon jump was actually the most memorable of my skydives. sunset jump at rantoul in 2004, with my husband. just amazing.... the rush of sound that takes over the silence when you leave the balloon is so surreal and beautiful.
