3 years ago I flew to Amsterdam on stand-by (my Aunt works for United). No problem getting there. Did some traveling, and then it was time to go home. I called the airline (I was in Munich at this point) to see how full the flight was and to 'register' my name as a stand-by passenger. They said I'd have no problem getting on. Well - they lied. I took a train to Frankfurt because the airline said the flight up there had lots of room. Fooled again - I was one of about 45 stand bys - and there were paying passengers that didn't get on. Long story short, I ended up getting very familiar with Frankfurt airport until I spent about $700 to get a one way flight to the US. I then used a stand-by pass to get back to DC. It was terrible. The point to my rambling: just a warning - since there is no guarantee - be ready with a back up plan.

Charleston is an awesome. It was once even voted the friendliest city in America (don't remember the source I got that from). I've spent a lot of time there when an old friend went to school there. Lots to do and very pretty. Everything in the city is within walking distance. SO MUCH good food too!

I've done the 'travel on a budget' thing a few times. Cheap hotels / hostels, rail passes, inexpensive meals and simple pleasures. It was all great. But now-a-days I can afford the nicer hotels and the good meals. I'd much rather go that route. I'd still try to save money where I can and find good deals - but I enjoy and appreciate the extra luxuries as well as the simple pleasures. I don't consider myself plastic just because I choose the finer things. I've earned it.

Hey Casie! You can do a search for "Manic Panic" hair dye and gels. I got mine here: http://www.garment-district.com/store/access/manic3/manic3_index.htm I will be sharing mine

I only have 1 right now - but will probably order a 2nd one by the end of the year. Don't need it yet. It will be good for when I start shooting video and when I want to jump a lot. My boyfriend has 2 and it makes his life much easier when he's busy at the dz or if one is being serviced - he has a spare.

I've got some Manic Panic dye. Usually lasts about 1-2 weeks. I've also got pink gel that washes out with water. I know Mel wants some of that.

Well my man and I both got some jumps in yesterday. That was fun!! We hadn't jumped in a few weeks. On the way home from the dz, I got pulled over. Oops! But since it's a new car that I've only had 2 weeks (and a MUCH faster car than my old one), the cop let me off. Said I needed to get used to my car - but to slow down. Today I got a full body massage, as well as some other 'fun'. My man is preparing me a nice dinner too. I'm perfectly happy with just a card (which I got), but he always goes the extra mile - but I make it worth his while. So - pretty awesome weekend for me.

he-he-he... me too!! i bought some pink pants, a pink top, some pink and white tie dyed socks... not a pink fan - but PMS makes pink more likeable in my book. edited to add: yes DJL, i am a dork and a girly girl sometimes. bite me!

Rich Chocolate Ovaltine.

Hell yeah!! I'm so glad you are coming to the boogie! Can't wait to meet you!!

I've been to Munich a handful of times and really like it. It's a nice city and a lot of fun. My vote is for Munich. I think Vegas would be fun - but I'd wait til you had more time and A LOT of $$ to blow.
-
wow douggie fresh.... you really are something. but, after the pinecone 'sham', i know what you are capable of.
-
Douggie - I don't think it will be as interesting as whatever you might be imagining. I do have some wash out pink hair gel if you wanna fit in.
-
Ha! Me too! I never cared for pink much, but have recently bought some pink items of clothing - and even some pink hair dye - in anticipation for PMS initiation and partying.
-
you are too kind. do go on.... ha! jonathan and i fly down tuesday night - so in 2 weeks - we'll be there! yippeeeeee!!!!!!!
-
hahahaha.... I can assure you, her ass is much nicer than mine. her 'non ass' pics are pretty too - so i think she has me beat overall. my man has flown with her over at orange a while back, and i've heard only good things about her. i'm probably just as excited to meet her as you. ok - off to do some 'ass exercises'.
-
TheMonkey and DJL are coming in on Wed night too.

the romantic in me says 'drop everything' and make the life change for love. my practical side says that if this is true love, then it will withstand the time apart if it was meant to be. tough choice and i'm glad i don't have to make it. (though more than likely, i would take the risk for love. )

theres a few good NIN angry break up songs. thats for sure. i wore my Pretty Hate Machine and my Broken tapes out way back when i was not so happy with boys.
