There was a thread a while back on this.... probably more than one..... in Gear & Rigging. Here is one http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=499170;search_string=search_string;#499170 I love my bonehead. I like that I could "mold" it to my head. But I tried on different helmets at a gear shop before I decided on one. If you go with one with external audible pockets, make sure you secure them well. A good riser slap (as many people know) will knock them right out.

Women (and in cases men too) sometimes develop this "victim" in divorce / separation. Often they don't realize that it takes 2 to screw something up. I don't think blame can usually be placed on just one person's shoulders. I guess every situation is different. Just try to date / marry the right people. Easier said then done I guess.

Not naked - but topless yes. I got some girlies to do a topless tracking dive for my man (he was the rabbit). That was fun. Rather exhilarating. It was only chilly on the plane (we did this July 3rd mind you - so it was HOT on the ground). I'd do a naked jump - yes - but it would have to be on a hot day in the summer. I don't like the cold.

Only been to West Point one time and I had a great time. Very nice DZ and friendly folks.

Skydive Virginia in Louisa (my home DZ) is about the same distance as Orange. Perhaps 5-10 miles further, but worth the trip IMO. www.skydivevirginia.com We are a smaller DZ than orange, but VERY friendly and we've got a great night life too. We have both RW and Freefliers out there and everyone is happy to welcome visitors (both in the air and on the ground) Our plane is out of commission right now, so I'm not sure what kind of aircraft we'll have on what weekends, though we might end up with a Porter for the fall. If you want more info, let me know.

Nope. We have 2 deaf skydivers at our DZ, both of which visit dz.com. Lets see if they pipe in.

Ha! Yeah - he told me that too. Asked for advice. I told him, at age 15 there is no really good advice. Just don't try to hard to make sense of girls that age, because you won't be able to. I also told him some women grow out of it (the game playing and emotional train wrecks we are in our teens) and some never do. Good luck trying to tell them apart.

wow. i have a lot of respect for (you) people that can handle dealing with the situations you are faced with. we need people to do these jobs, and i'm betting that there are very few that can.

Ha! I have a boyfriend too, that I have a FABULOUS sex life with. However, I am sometimes queen of TMI if I've had too much to drink, late night at the DZ. I've been working on restraining that a bit more. Put my energy into "late night walks" with the man instead.

I think that you may find this in a lot of group situations, where women are more territorial with other women and men are more territorial with other men when a "new member" comes into their group. I found the men at my DZ very welcoming when I started, and some of the women were too. But some were not quite as warm in the very beginning. Once I was there a bit and got to know them, that changed and any walls that were up, came down. Don't take it personally (unless they are just flat being nasty). Some may see you as a threat, some may just be trying to size you up a bit to see what you are like. Hopefully they are not excluding you due to your inexperience (or that you are good looking as someone else suggested - which is a possibility). Give it some time before making any assumptions.
