Just curious... when you allow a company for a credit check ... is there an expiry date as to how far down the line they can still be allowed to do the credit check? Also ...how many credit check are they allowed to do?

Actually I think having a bad credit makes someone more employable. Think about ... A guy who is up to his neck in debt will probably work harder, ask for a smaller salary, and would fear the idea of getting fired. Sounds like a better employee than someone who doesn't owe money to nobody and who would not stand for the abuse of some employers.

The reason I was asking is because it appears all companies here in Canada seem to be asking for alot of personal information. From Radio Shack to CN ...they all want to check your credit before they even consider hiring you and want you to allow them to do a background check on you. Isn't having a credit check and background check some sort of discrimination? I mean ...ok ...I can understand if a potential employer would tell me...ok ...you seem like a decent guy ...all we need now in order to hire you is a credit check . But no ...now the first thing when you apply ...they give you a form asking you to allow some company to do a background check and credit check. It doesn't seem right. Just my 2 cents. Mircea

Is it normal for companies to ask for a credit check and a background check when applying for a new job? I mean ... I can understand if it was the last step before getting the job... but everywhere I seem to apply they ask for a credit check. Also ...is it a good idea to put skydiving in your list of hobbies on your resume? What do you think?

Hi, All I know is that I get bruized every time i open my chute. Would it be a good idea to talk to my packer... maybe he can adjust the opening a little to make it smoother? I was reading some reviews about the sabre 2 ... and alot of people are recomending it for its smooth openings... I was wondering how it would compare to the openings on a Navigator 260. Mircea

Hello, Just curious. Compared to a Navigator (260 in my case) ... how would you rate the openings on other parachutes. Are the other parachutes opening any softer than my Navigator ...or are they a bit rougher? Best Regards, Mircea
