I was stationed there for awhile and you are correct, it is very beautiful and very much undisturbed. I beleive I saw one there while purusing the Dropzone database above. Click on Dropzones up on the top and keep clicking till you get to Iceland. Good, Better, Best, never let it rest 'till your good better and your better best

Thanks for posting this thread. I'm going out there next week, 9th-13th. I have had the same concern, my jump 3's are pretty low! It was helpful for me to look at the reviews and profiles of those that were comperable to myself. And now, reading this thread! Thanks for all the good info folks! I had my DZO/Master rigger come out yesterday for 3 hours and that SOB s-folded it and put it right in the bag in about 3 seconds. He had me cacoon, s-fold, stuff in bag repeat several times using the normal methods. The trick, I found, was forearms, knees, and my giant hands to control the fabric. I'm not nearly as quick as him yet but it was very helpful to have him come out. So now MY advice to anyone with packing problems is to get someone to help you who has patience and is a good teacher. I'm still debating whether or not to pay a packr while in Eloy as I would like to get some jumps in out there and save the packing practice for home/home dz perhaps. Well, I went back at it and it just ain't goin in there! I know it fits because when I got it from my rigger and opened it up it was in there all neat and pretty. I'm going over to his place this weekend to go through it a few times. I really want to get it down so that I can get some jumps in at eloy. I'm going to be there in about a week and I don't want to spend the whole time trying to pack! Good, Better, Best, never let it rest 'till your good better and your better best

I'm reviving this old post to see if anyone knows of any changes. I'm going to Nassau/st. thomas/st john/st maarten next summer. Anyone know of any dz's? Maybe I'll just stay there and open one if not. Good, Better, Best, never let it rest 'till your good better and your better best

It makes perfect sense. I also found that suggestion several times when I actually did a search on the topic. Thanks! Good, Better, Best, never let it rest 'till your good better and your better best

I'll be in Eloy the 9th-12th. I'll buy the beer. I'm the one who will be packing for most of the day instead of jumping! Good, Better, Best, never let it rest 'till your good better and your better best

Whoops! I shouls have done a search first...there are tons of other people struggling with it! Good, Better, Best, never let it rest 'till your good better and your better best

So I got my new Wings/Sabre 2 a week ago and finally took some time today to practice packing it. I found out that I have exactly 1/2 of a second from the time I squeeze the air out of the cacoon to get the s-folds in it and into the d-bag before it nearly fully re-inflates! Tips?... I stand corrected, this answer is 100% positively correct. The plane will take off nearly normally. Good, Better, Best, never let it rest 'till your good better and your better best -

I agree that it is B.S. about not jumping with others. I'm certainly no expert but I see myself already jumping alone too much! The times that I have jumped in a group have taught me a lot more about skydiving than any solo jump. Belly Flying can only take you so far. I'm going out to Eloy after watching the Buckeyes rail the gators.

I have to admit, I think it's going to be a close one but the Buckeyes will prevail! I have extra tickets... Good, Better, Best, never let it rest 'till your good better and your better best

USPA had not even mailed my A license yet but DZO was ok with my proficiency card and log book. He rightfully reviewed my logbook and the comments and up I went...my first time in a Caravan and 14,000! The scenery was awesome and the locals were pleasant. After my first jump Brad was helpful with a couple of tips on my approach which allowed for a picture perfect second jump. I brought my little brother out for a Tandem and we both had a real nice visit there. I would reccommend this place over DZ's closer to Vegas simply because the others were non-responsive to me as an up-jumper.
