My PISA conquest opened so fast one day it just about killed me. Dislocated my shoulder, slammed a riser into my face and gave me extensive whip lash in my back that I am still dealing with. nasty nasty canopy.

Wing loading was about 1.1. I can tell you this canopy has the softest, slowest openings and is sweet to fly. I'm downsizing to a Pilot 168 when I'm ready.

I have a Pilot 188 that I will be parting with in a month or so and I was wondering what a fair asking price would be. The unit has 53 jumps on it but is two years old. I know Cypres has a depreciation calculator that will give a fair market value for used equipment. Is there such a calculator for canopies?

I agree with FlyinseivLP2. I've only been in this sport a few years but I've seen people pound in pretty hard and know of one death in our area. It's not a sport for everyone and surely is one activity that has to be based on calculated risk. Be informed

I've done several flavors of Yoga and found them all to have strengths and weaknesses. If your looking for more of a meditative experience try insight meditation. Check out http://www.seattleinsight.org/ Have fun, Play safe.

I am considering the purchase of a rig from another country. Does anyone have any advice about cross border purchasing? Not very comfortable sending my money to a total stranger and buying a rig I have never tried on before.

Hey, shit happens. I totally agree. I know many extremely competent ‘meat missles’. I would agree with you if indeed this thread implied what you suggest, but it does not. We are talking about having such a lack of physical ability as to be unable to do basic functions like breaking away and flaring. That I could not comment on and don’t really care about. Hey I can drink my share of beer and if it comes to it... yours too! LMAO I should sincerely hope so! ;) BTW, I have tried but JUST can’t swoop my Manta!! Self-explanatory.

Yeah these routines are no joke. We have an hour long class at the gym... entirely balance ball stuff. I did one on Monday and I could barely get out of bed on Tuesday morning... I seem to be better today... it only hurts when I laugh. Scot.

Fitness... aww yes. Interesting thread. I am also juvenile in attitude but middle in age. As a 'veteran' of 35 wonderful jumps I’m not sure how much my advice counts but here goes anyway. Last year I experienced some hard/ twisting openings that REALLY wrenched my neck and lower back around. I didn't really notice the stiffness until after the adrenaline had worn off but let me tell you the chickens came home to roost. So I decided to experiment with different 'core' strengthening routines and I believe I have found the answer, at least for my body type, which is quite lanky. On top of my regular daily weight lifting and running routine I do stability ball workouts. I cannot recommend these exercises enough! They were great for strengthening my abdominal and core muscles and I believe have made my overall fitness and flexibility much better. just my two cents. BTW... 2F hex!
