Mesguite is basically the only place in vegas/near vegas that is not a tandem factory. They have a caravan for the winter. Not sure but I think it leaves in april. Then there is just a cessna. In vegas there are a bunch of pay by the month hotels and apartments some nice some not so nice. Your per diem should be enough to live nicely. If you stay away from the strip Vegas is a normal city with normal city lodging, restraunts and prices. Mother Hen

I am on the west coast of Canada. Its three in the morning. I have been trying to get drunk all night with no luck. I am on the phone with Seth. I can't stop crying. I want to be in greene county. I miss Ted. Life will go on. I will feel better. But Ted still won't be here. So this night sucks. Mother Hen

Ted I will miss you so much. I love you man. I wish you would have learned from my mistakes. I wish you could have seen through my eyes. Now its too late. FLY FREE. BSBD. Mother Hen

Sorry it took me so long to write this. For those of you who don't know me I am the EVER BUSY and absent minded professor. Wow how to start this? Fly Away Las Vegas ROCKS. When paige first told me about flyaway I was down for the idea but not overly excited. I figure what the heck. Why not do a fund raiser and fly in a different tunnel? It was an experience to have. Then the day came and we got to tunnel. I have never seen people so excited to help out complete strangers. The entire staff was welcoming, fun loving, and happy to have us there. I was a little nevous because of the difference between the Sky Venture and flyaway. (sky venture was the only tunnels I had flown in until Fly Away.) My first flight with everyone watching I felt like a fool. 10 hrs in tunnels and I couldn't even stay in the airstream let alone fly. When I got out of the tunnel I was met with cheers and excitment. Everyone and tips and hints to share. They wanted me there and have a good time doing it, not because I was some great flyer (ha ha ha) but rathter because we all could have more fun and learn from each other. Over the course of the weekend I had the oppertunity to get back in the tunnel a fly a ton. Every time with improvement, every time with more more help from th tunnel rats. By the time we were getting ready to leave I was flying with all the girls (and guys), even doing some four way stuff. There was just this positive enegy that makes you want to stay, spread love, and fly. Yes the vegas tunnel was challenging at first. Isn't everything that worth anything though? Thank you so much, To Flyaway Las Vegas and all the tunnel rats who call it home. We had a blast. And to all skydivers and tunnel rats...your a fool if you don't get out there and FLY AWAY in LAS VEGAS. On a more personal note thanks K8 for all the love. Hope to see all the Vegas Hommies soon. As Paige would say, spread your love and fly!!!! Blue Skys, Carrie

The vegas wind tunnel although not the fastest is amazing. The people there are ginuine, fun, and excited to have anyone come and fly. I had an awesome time when I went there in Feb. They treated my friend and I like royalty. Yes it is different than Sky Venture. But it is a challenge. So what if people think its slow. Can you fly slow or is that something that you can work on? Why just be able to fly one way when you can fly so many different ways. The people there made my trip to Vegas and I believe that they would do that for anyone. Mother Hen

You just don't give a shit...do you?

This year has made a lot of sick. I have been in this sport for 6 years now and can no longer count on my hands the freinds that I have lost. Do I regret being a part of this sport? HELL NO!!! Do I wish I had never met these people ? Just the opposit!!!! For those of you don't know I had an very bad accident. When it happened many of friends couldn't believe it was me. I was so safety consious all the time. BUT I FUCKED UP. It didn't mean that I didn't care about safety or my friends. It means I am human as are all of freinds that are no longer here. Our job is simply to mourn, learn from thier mistakes and most importantly LIVE ON. Mother Hen -
that doesn't mean much sopme people come out of riddle with a thousand hours and others come out with 300 if they are lucky. Some people gert jobs others don't it really just depends Mother Hen
