Absolutely gutted to hear of Tonto's passing. We met many years ago at Skydive Citrusdal and did a few jumps together over the years since then. What amazed me with Tonto was how enthusiastic he remained after so many years in the sport, always keen to try a new discipline and immerse himself in it completely. He was a true mentor, always willing to guide and teach, and always ready to learn from others when exploring a new discipline. I feel honoured to have known him, jumped with him, learned from him and competed against him. We are all gonna miss you Tonto! Hard work never killed anybody, but why risk it?

Makes no sense to me either. I could understand if they are concerned about backtracking and barrel-rolls on a tracking dive, but not why they would say NO tracking whatsoever. What kind of equipment is it? Hard work never killed anybody, but why risk it?

I am quite happy with my Neptune(s), although they do seem to have some problems. The batteries don't last very long and mine sometimes logs jumps in the car on the way to the DZ, but other than that it serves the purpose just fine. I use one with a broken screen (damn that wipeout!) as an audible, and it's replacement as a visual alti. Tonto, you gonna be at JSC next weekend for the seminar? We got some bergies coming up from the Cape again so hopefully see you there! Hard work never killed anybody, but why risk it?

For what it's worth, I really rate this canopy. I am jumping a 99 loaded at 2.4 and really enjoying it. The only other cross-brace I have jumped is an FX, but I have seen it up against other canopies and it is a solid performer with great openings. Hard work never killed anybody, but why risk it?
