although i like my sony ericcson i have to say that the joystick isnt p to much still....had mine for approx 6mnths and its gone dicky already...takes extra power to get it to do what u want which isn good for your fingers or good for playing games...but im on contract and will get a new phone soon so it doesnt matter....otherwise stay clear if your on p&g
-
mmm im taking the output you get is dc (thats why it doesnt work???)..not quite sure what u mean about the power coming out?? should know this one cos i work at a power station lol (its gas not coal or oil so its quite clean) Although these renewable resources are a great idea the efficiency isnt (4% for solar panel....compared to 50% ish for gas turbines) The price has always kept me away as its not justifiable. Buy energy saving lightbulbes...keep everything off standby and dont leave heating/lights etc on when not needed seems the best reduction

Ive been going for 2mnths at hibledstow and have found virtually everyone very friendly. A lot of the time the instructors will only say hello to you as they are very busy most of the time. But the rest will have a chat to you. Being quite nervous with my 1st and 2nd jump it was ther ppl around me who put me at ease.

yeh if she did charity work it'll be too easy for her and at the end of the day she' dthink she was doing something good therefore her misbehaving doesnt matter. cant they just hang her instead??

yeh i know how you feeli. I started a distant learning degree last year and so far this yr i havent been arsed to do much of it (due to the learning material being crap) lost most motivation for it and enthusiasm. So i took a couple of days out, did what i liked then afterwards sat down with no distractions (not even tv or radio) and got stuck into it (taking a break every hr or 2). Its just needs a bit of concentration. and as you said it isnt very long before you finish so you might as well put in the most amount of effort you can as the benefits will be huge (hopefully). Good luck in it anyway

with a students parachute its going to take quite a bit of input to move around..thats what i found anyway...still made me feel a little unsafe though...im sure i'll feel much better with my next jump. The hardest part i found was locating my pilot chute..kept on looking for it near my ribs instead of my arse. but the rest (like hand signals) i understood and carried out straight away. I was very nervous cos i didnt wanna fuck up but as soon as i jumped that went straight out of the window and i enjoyed myself immensly (even if it took me a couple of hrs to reach that conclusion. im sure you will do fine and keep us up to date how it went

hello!!! hope you have a great time with your course. Theres quite a bit to remember at 1st i found but its becomes 2nd nature pretty quickly (especially the hitting the floor part lol...I still have to find a better way of landing)

Ive done a few things as a youngun. Got my toilet seat (the one for kids to use the toilet without falling in) stuck past my head (was using it as a hat and pushed down too hard. Managed to dangle from some monkey bars by my head (suprised i didnt snap my neck lol) touched the end of a car cigarette lighter cos it had turned a cool colour. Drank washing up liquid because i thought id burp bubbles...i just puked up instead
-
the whiskys i drink are glenmorangie, glenfiddich and laphroig. Expensive but worth it. Stuff like jack daniels is too sweet and tastes shite...but then again it gets you drunk so i cant really complain

I do kickboxing and thats a great buzz. Havent done any comps yet (was due for one last year but my opponent got kicked out for drug use..supposedly he was high as a kite). Done quite a bit of sparring (few black eyes bloody nose etc) but its all good fun

hahaha gangs signs sound good...but i think i'll stick to the thumbs up. well had my course today but didnt jump due to cloud. Will be doing it next wednesday instead so gives me a week to practice at home (forget everything more likely) Had a look at the ACE book and its helped me a lot. Cheers

How Old? should you be for skydiving?
rygon replied to kungen's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I know what you mean... a lot of ppl want to do skydiving because they have seen it looking cool in films..just as they want to hold guns, drive fast cars etc...but when the matter of money comes to it they think..well maybe it isnt worth that much Ive never jumped yet but have wanted to for quite some time...im 23 and have managed to save enough for AFF level 1 course....gonna do it this friday..after that im gonna see if its for me...but already ive made sacrifices to get this far. So to me if your mature enough to really want to do it, without any payments off anyone then your ready (but if some helps pay for that dream once youve tried to pay it all by yourself its still cool) -
...but already thanks for giving me some great info into skydiving. Im doing my AFF level 1 this friday and wanted to learn a bit about skydiving beforehand...This place has been the most informative place so far so cheers. Being technically minded i want to learn as much about how a parachute/skydiving works as possible so any threads you know of pls tell me about (if i get into trouble i want to know exactly what happening) actually more importantly ..what sort of poses look good for the camera hope to speak to you all soon tah Ryan
