Yes I agree kudos to ole Bubba Bush for finally speaking up on this issue. The unfortunate part here is this problem has been in need of attention for WAY too long. Do some research and see just how far back "affirmitive action" dates. Policies inspired by this hair brained idea have unfairly denied millions of american "majorities" the right to the education they seek or the job they need. The University of Georgia has been under heavy fire lately for similar practices, but thier more sexist than racist practices have gotten the publicity. As for affiritive action and the policies it has inspired in the workplace.. oh brother. I once had a candid conversation w/ human resources guru. Privatate corporations have tried to stay clear off screwed up policies in recnt times, but the Gov't and private contractors for the gov't are outta control. It seems that the number one way to land a big gov't contract these days is to have a "diverse" employment base. If ya need proof just take a lok around any gov't office these days. ditto....ditto....ditto... I have one thing to add to all the good advice already. As Mother who cares about her son a great deal obviously be cautious. Be certain that you are hearing everything he tells you correctly and that he is in fact telling you everything. I'm not saying doubt your son, but just saying be cautious. Sons who are close to their Mom know that there is no more understanding or sorrowful ear than Moms. We feel free to vent to Mom because she will always listen and always see our side. Mom will always be willing to offer advice and stand up for us. When things are bad she knows, but sometimes we might leave out minor details that could affect the whole ordeal. It sounds to me like his boss is a first class asshole, but is your son a true angel?? If it got bad enough that he quits and goes for unemployment or even sues would he have a stellar record going for him????? Is there some possible leverage his boss has against him that lets his boss feel like he can get away with all of this?? For example has he called in sick a time or 2 lately or been late a few times?? Gulport/Biloxi (airport code gpt) is MUCH cheaper into. Pascagoula doesn't have an airport other than the one the boogie is at. Mobile will cost ya almost double what Gulfport will from most places. The casinos in Biloxi help bring down the cost of flying in there. The Airport is about 25+/- minutes from the boogie site, both are located adjacent to Interstate-10. If miracles happen I MIGHT make it, but very doubtful. I had to choose between a week in BC Canada skiing or this Boogie. Considering the boogie is the week after Mardi Gras, skiing won. I figured I had to something other than skydiving w/ a lil of my time n money. Stupid ass me for thinking ey???? Actually in the Vicinity of Boone, NC there is some good skiing. They are gettn quite a bit of snow lately and having their best year in awhile. You will deal with some man-made snow in areas, but tolerable. The West (ie Rockies) are having a rough year of it from whatI hear w/ below normal snowfall, but still better than the East. I can soo relate. Ever since my dad passed my big bro has tried to take over, problem is my dad was a deadbeat dad nd so no gap was left when he perished. [reply Keep the same slider and when your ready for the canopy to open tug the rear risers. I have a canopy that was consistent with its snivel, soft openings though. I would look up and everything looked great the canopy just sat there with the slider and everything looking perfect. If I wanted it to open faster I just pulled down on the rears evenly and the canopy opened.... I tried to switch sliders but the openings became inconsistent and I switched back to the old slider. I knew what to expect and how to deal with it if I wanted it to open faster.... Scott C. Ditto, from my experiences flying way underloaded canopies for awhile I learned that trick too. I purchased a '99 Sabre 150 w/ 268 jumps and sweet looking lines for $750 a few months back.
