    at the risk of sounding self contradicting...I agree with most of what you said...however someone bent on killing will kill. it is just a matter of time...I own a gun I don't intend on shooting a police officer. I have never been so drunk or so angry with the system that I would ever use a gun against a police officer. should I not own my gun ?

    people die...it happens...most of the time its a drag. funny thing about cops tho...they're the only people I know who run TOWARDS gunfire. do you really think that by taking guns away that the bad guys won't figure out a different way to kill folks.....that is the point I was making. you make it sound like this was a spurof the moment thing....dude as obviously waaay jacked up in the head PRIOR to gettin his gun

    timothy Mcveigh didn't use a gun, Ted Bundy didn't use a gun...you know everyone is pretty much allowed to own or carry a gun in Az. .......which is good cuz if you go to shoot someone ya never know who is gonna shoot back

    think He meant how stupid is it to need a Drs. note just for bein over forty...& I agree I am over forty & in waaaaay better shape than a lot of 25 year olds I know. I absolutely do not need a drs. permission or a physical to hurrle myself groundward. IMHO

    obviously I'm not an instructor I just read everything here so I can learn as much as possible. Thanx for having the balss to post that. I blew my level 4 ( totally ) my fault. however I had an instructor I had never had or seen before & from the get go I knew I did not want him to be my instructor ( btw he is a very good skydiver) he just decided to change everything that my other instructors had taught me & I was finally relaxing. till this jump!....anyway jump went bad I sucked. came back the next day to repeat. he had no clue who I was ( even tho I had a cutaway on the jump).also there were mitigating circumstances that day. all this not withstanding he was to be my instructor on level 5 & against all my will I asked s & ta (my first instructor) if I could have a dnother instructor. she asked why & agreed it would be better. from what I have heard also I am not the first to make this request. anyway thanx again for posting your comment I second guessed myself for awhile about this

    lemme see... no license... no uspa membership... no logbook... no much de nada... sounds like no jumpy at virtually ANY dz. but what do I know I'm just a student listening to my instructors sounds like you did what any responsible coach or s&ta would do

    also don't focus on the ground....keep your chin up & find the horizon...will automatically make you arch. I spun like all get out on my release dive.....next time I started to spin & got concerned I said " screw this stress have fun" arched stopped spinnin passed had a great skydive. remeber we do this stuff cuz it's FUN lol

    GOd did take responsibility for what His creation doue/did. He made a way for each of us to never have to pay for the things we have done in our past. He took ultimate responsibility & gave His life for us.

    Rom 8:28...for God causes ALL things to work together for good to those who love God to those who are called according to HIS purposes. God is not vindictive or hateful. He leaves us to free will. none of us will know the full extent of His reasons EVER. we just have to trust Him. regardless if we understand why He allows bad things to happen

    wow ! just read this whole thread & yours seems to be the only remotely responsible responce. in Cali we have a .08 limit anything under & you can be cited for "driving while impaired".much lesser offense thatn dui. Hada buddy killed by a guy who blew a .06 . Drinking & driving is stooooopid & Irresponsible. now I welcome the raining down of inflammatory comments. to which I will reply in advance wait till someone you care about is either killed by or kills somoene because there was booze in the car.

    jump went bad that day. everybodies head was f****ed up mikey went in at 2:30 we all found out the outcome at 5 right b4 takeoff. was my fault should have begged off the dive was all over the sky upside down at pull time rigt side 3 cells disintegrated on opening.....totally my fault. didn't really want to get into the particulars but thats the reason had to repeat.

    one of my coaches is a 3 year skydiver with close to 2000 jumps. he is a kid. he is also , however a very good skydiver. one of the things he has repeatedley told me is that I am to learn someting on EVERY skydive. no matter how many I make. he says he lives by that philosophy. hmmm young, high jump numbers in a relatively short period of time, and wise. it all depends on the individual in questions attitude about his craft.

    I think they BOTH have their benefits. It TOTALLY depends on the student & that students natural ability. example: I passed my aff in 8 jumps, (took 8 cuz I had a cutaway on level4) was a real bad day. hop & popped my first pack job to get both of those out of the way on my A card also spotted that load. It depends on you & your abilities & how bad ya want it. just like any sport. just my opininon.do what works for you & listen to your coaches

    Hi MiraCheskis, I went to Lodi to finish the backside of my A license card ( and got a reasonable amount of crap about it at my home dz ) LOL...anyway at first I was a little apprehensive about being at a new dropzone. Lodi has A LOT of talent. after spending about an hour learning how to pack (thanx Clair & Jimmy) up we went. got to spot the first load ( was my first time ). then on the ground had to practically run to the hangar grab another rig for the turn then run to the plane. My point is this Lodi is a GREAT dropzone probably more geared for experienced jumpers, once your licensed & have a number of jumps there the experience would most likely go smoother. ^5s to you for re-evaluating your reasons for jumping. I do think that maybe trying a slower paced dz may be the ticket for you...I won't promote my home dz (very laid back) as I don't want to in anyway seem disrespectful towards Lodi. I will definitely jump there again!!! sorry for being so long winded. Blue Skies!!!
