I had my government travel card stolen a few years back. These were sneaky theives, because not only did they steal the card, somehow they found a way to intercept my work mail (where all the bills and notices are sent) so I had no idea about it until AMEX called me and said, "are you planning on paying this $2000 bill that's 120 days past due?" I said, "What the FUCK?!" And called OSI. It was someone in the base mail distribution office, and I wasn't the first one it had happened to. What kind of car/truck should a sky diver drive?

I dunno, I like my Dodge Neon...I would think a skydiver would want to drive something with good gas mileage. Just think how much you'd be spending on gas for an SUV! That's a lot of jumps... LOL, of course you can! I just wish you all could be in Eloy.... And the survey is for a sponsorship proposal my new team is putting together. We're trying to think outside the box and target sponsors outside of the skydiving industry, since gear manufacturers are notoriously stingy. Michele, So glad to hear you had a good day! I think I can remember vividly every one of the days like that I've had...where something just clicks and I finally GET it. It's so amazing! But humbling, too, eh? Like you've come so far, then you relaize there's so much more to learn. But you know you'll be able to learn it when the time comes. Congrats! Me too. It IS a great view, isn't it! OF course, my IC flies with her legs soooo wide, and I'm just a little girl with short arms...it took me 15 jumps to figure out how to take cat grips on her! Ok, on regular weekends, it's usually 3 because with one 182, that's about the max I can get if I'm an AirHussy. On training weekends, however, my team makes 8-10 jumps a day. Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!

Here's the second vote for that! We also have this strange paradox going on. When the weather is shitty, the DZ is crowded. When the weather is PERFECT, the first load doesn't go up until 10 am. 0:16:1 0 because I was in Eloy and my hubby wasn't. 16 kick-ass training jumps...all no-contact 4-way dives, including some hard shit with a lot of no-contact out-facing moves. I can't wait to see what this team can do! 1 case of beer because we did our first 4-way training exit out of a tailgate...and it worked great! I love my stilletto. I really do. So much so that I'm keeping it to build a second rig around. But I love my new (used) Jedei 105 "Fat Top" even more. What an incredible canopy! I'm thinking that when it's time for me to get a new canopy in about 600 jumps or so, I'll go with a Samurai. Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!

OMG...this is going to be a blast! IF we get ahold of my parent's RV in time, My hubby and I will be driving down and crashing at the DZ, maybe with a few other folks from sunny New Mexico. I learned that my sit is FAST! LOL...I'm just a little girl, but when we broke the 3-way train that we launched, I immediately went low and the other two had to go into a stand to catch me! It was still a rocking jump, and I ALMOST got my first ever dock in sit. But not quite. Maybe next time. Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!

LOL...funny this thread should come up. Our DZ/boogie/state record attempt was featured in a 2-min segment on our local news channels last night. The reporter that interviewed us all used my answers TWICE during the segment! But really I'm famous for being the shyest person at my DZ...
