Isn't that what we just saw last week? 32 unanswered murders. 1 person with a weapon of their own could have ended it. Additionally... we aren't talking about kids...we're talking about men and women, over 21 years of age, that have gone through the background checks and training to carry a concealed pistol. so, the answer to gun problems is ever MORE guns you Americans just can't get enough guns can you !

"No one tried to be a Hero..." Be one darn it!!!
Axe_Murderer replied to watchdog2's topic in Speakers Corner
bizzare post, very bizzare yeah, i'm sure people, quick as a flash, are going to weigh up a situation, decide that a hero is needed, decide it might as well be them and then instantly do something that will get them killed but save other people I'd stop watching John Wayne films if i were you -
Sounds like you're a big fan. the wife makes me watch it... honest

How are they outdated? What makes them less relevant than in previous generations? because i like to think that as different forms of media progress, the need to keep animals caged up to see them doesn't apply anymore keep animals in zoos for research, or for breeding...but not purely for the viewing pleasure of humans

she's a has-been The only good thing about that program is Simon Cowell he tells it how it is, if they are crap, he'll say so.... Paula (i used to have a small career) Abdule says they are all great and licks their arses, even if they need shooting The "big dog" Randy (how the hell can anybody be called Randy and not get laughed at all the time?) Jackson should stop saying "yo" and "i don't know, man" and actually comment TRUTHFULLY on how they have done The only one who "keeps it real" is Simon, and people don't like to hear the truth, they like to sugar coat those crap singers and tell them how good they are all the time The only good singer on that program is Dr Doolittle

Not sure how many convicts were sent to SA, I know that Oz is fully of their decendents, I thought South Africa was just full of adventurers and fortune hunters. Perhaps my history is wrong though - any care to correct me? tash edited to add: strictly that would mean though Chanti that you shouldn't be referring to the British half of me as a POME, as that stood for Prisoner of Mohther England, now often shortened to Pom and then I remembered that all of my blood line is British, just that my parents were adventurers and fortune hunters but ended up having a family in SA rather than making a diamond find! same difference, they're all foreigners

I agree. But the act of caging animals shows a dominance and disrespect to animals. In a way, we've taught children that we are dominant, that animals do not deserve respect and that there is little to "really" fear (See how close we can get and not get hurt?). Animal shows and zoos show us that we can get within striking distance of a crocodile or tiger with nothing to fear. That's a pretty mixed message to a kid, wouldn't you say? I'd suggest most fucked up part is the culture that says that animals are here for our whims. i agree,i think the only time animals should be kept in cages/zoos is when they are near extinction and they are there for breeding...once their levels are back up, release then in to the wild zoos are very outdated, we don't need them in this day and age

we need to ban crocodiles

I bought a bourgeois house in the Hollywood hills With a trunkload of hundred thousand dollar bills Man came by to hook up my cable TV We settled in for the night my baby and me We switched 'round and 'round 'til half-past dawn There was fifty-seven channels and nothin' on Well now home entertainment was my baby's wish So I hopped into town for a satellite dish I tied it to the top of my Japanese car I came home and pointed it out into the stars A message came back from the great beyond There's fifty-seven channels and nothin' on
