It probably won't involve any skydiving, but for all you Troy Hartman fans, he is going to be hosting a new show on the WB called "No Boundries" tonight at 7/6 central time. I think its going to be one of those reality TV, vote people off the island shows but who knows, it could be good. Something to check out tonight...

Flipping on your back in Student gear safe or no??

I would assume that with all student gear it ought to be alright to fly on your back. I mean, its bound to happen that students will end up on there back sometimes on accident. When I was on student status we had old dolphins with velcro riser covers, which were always coming loose. I ended up on my back on a couple jumps and nothing bad ever happened... knock on wood... -

So I found out a few weeks ago that I have to have surgery to remove a tumor from my parotid glad(fancy name for your salivary gland by you ear). So I was all bumed out cause I can't work out or skydive for 3 weeks afterwards... but I just ordered my new rig and it'll be here a few weeks after I have surgery! So its not all bad!

Just talk to Anita at manifest this weekend. She usually keeps some in stock so you could try it on before you buy it, also just try on the student ones and pick which size fits best, pick a color, and have Anita order it for you. I've been thinking protec would be my first helmet too, but the more i think about how much I wanna freefly, i think i'll get a hurricane cause of the audible port.

I'm still new to the sport having just gotten my A, and my new gear will soon be coming in. I've heard alot of people say it is good to learn the stall point of your canopy. My question is, why is it good to learn this and how do you do it safely? Thanks!
