So we all agree the bonfire is a better place without Remster now correct?
-
I like to take my extra pennies and lay them on rail road tracks...

Une personne ayant le patrimoine français est toujours correcte Remy ... Oh plus Sangiro sent me a PM saying I was his all time favorite poster Actually I would like to recant my prevoius post about respecting the work of past moderators. There's one that comes to mind all of a sudden...
-
Indeed but a postwhore in the nicest possible way...

I think that it was beggining to be increasingly difficult to seperate posts I was interested in versus not intereted in. A small group of loud posters were imposing their voice on each and every post to the point that this small group was invading everything. I think the crack down by HH was to tone down the disgusting posts and also to also bring to the attention to this small group of posters or agitators what the rest thought. This forum is supposed to belong to evryone and not just a small loud group of folks... That being said, I have the utmost respect for Sangiro and for all of the current and past moderators and I think evryone has and continues to do a pretty effin damn good job... Happy Friday... Peace, -Seb

On the John Stewart show (daily Show) the other night he was making remarks about how congrees was going after the baseball players and the football spy gate situation but that there were no hearings planned for the destruction of the gitmo interrogation tapes! Priorities are wacked! Clemens is an amazing pitcher and I give props to him for fighting it out but it's hard to belive he never tried steriods or HGH. Bryan McNamee on the other hand is a total turd. Shady with a capital S.

Anybody live in Portland, Klamath Falls or Ashland, Oregon?
Sebazz1 replied to skybytch's topic in The Bonfire
Hi Lisa, My mom & stepfather live in Cornelious outside of Portland. Let me know when the time get's closer if you still need a parking spot! -Seb -
Some of the best Pinot's I have been drinking are from Santa Rita Hills near Santa Barbara. Has anyone here tried any Paso Robles wines from Central California? The quality from that area has begun to rival those wines of Napa and Sonoma without the price tag and the pretentiousness. My father is a wine maker from that area too so I am a little biased. I help with the harvest, bottling and PR events. He is also making Pinot from Santa Rita Hills and San Louis Obispo Area. I think it is a sgood as sex with the right compnay and food. If anyone is ever in Paso stop by RN Estate. There is a site too at RNEstate.com. Like Dave said above, good wine is good wine and crap wine is crap. The price tag is not always a good indicator. I tend to lean towards smaller production wines and not mass made wine. Similair to my beer tastes, I'd rather drink a micro brew than something mass produced in a factory. It's just more spiritual to drink something made by people on a smaller scale that put their passion and love into every bottle. Anyway that's my $0.02....

I hear you Mike, I think we shared a lot of those friendships. The memories eb and flow for me, some days it's nothing and some days it really grips you. I never really addressed how I was affected myself but I think it was considerably more than I gave credit. I am still I think recovering subconciously from loosing fellow jumpers I knew and saw often and some of them were really good friends. I might never really let go entirely. I will say this though, had it not been for Paul Cousins passing I would have never met Sarah. We are officially 2 months away from our wedding date today and I thank him every day for introducing me to her. I wish he didn't have to sacrifice his life though. Hardly a day goes by that I don't remember Paul, Brad Caughran, Johnny Love, Timmy D., Sam Thistle, Shannon, Tom, Cliff and JP... Blue Skies Black Death We signed up for it when we decided to enjoy ourselves playing chicken with the earth... I remember not believing my intructors when I first started jumping and they say "it's not a matter of if only a matter of when." Wish they were wrong... That's why you have to hang on tight to the friends you have now and never take a day for granted. Take care man.. -Seb

I apply a large amount of deoderant in the morning, probably because of my French heritage even though I shower at least once a day. i apply to underarms, lower back and chest. My deoderant usually starts to loose effectiveness around 5-5:30 pm. Not that I sweat that much but all the old secretaries with no circulation have the heat on all day so it's warm. I am usually in by 8 so 9 hours is pretty good. What's really wierd though right now is my left pit is starting to smell a bit but the left is still fresh. Seb

I was alway's under the impression that if one followed their PA with " I mean that in the nicest possible way" then the PA was null and void? I think the only PA that does not apply to is "dodo head" which I am not calling anyone, just bringing it to attention...

Suspended sentences? That blows... When I was looking up every auto theft site on the web the other day it seemed like auto theft is/was being treated less and less severely. I know Police don't have the man power or time to really investigate a car theft thouroughly. The lot our car was gripped from might have had camera's since it was near a brand new medical building in Palo Alto, CA but they never mentioned anything. The cost of auto thefts to people and insurance companies has got to be huge. I think the punishment for stealing a car should be very severe. I figure car thieves would probably rob homes too...

I heard that the lo-jack system works good for expensive cars. I think the thing that bugs me is that we will never ever know who the culprits where ... They'll probably never get busted for stealing our car.

I never realized a car could be dismantled the way we found it. All the seats, carpeting, lining, weather stripping, knobs, handles , wheels, etc... all stripped. The engine was there but all the hoses, fans, belts, basically everything removable was removed. The car was a shell. My GF was pretty torn up and we figured just best to junk it release the title and liabilty and walk away. The tow company ended up waiving the tow costs and gave us $250 dollars for the car. At least we can just move on. Some tips I did pick up thought... A Club can be a excellent dterrant, even more so than an alarm. Paying liabilty only insurance is cheap but you get what you pay for. Get the full comp and collison if your car is worth any money, you never know when it might be worth it. Thanks for all the advice everyone... Peace. -Seb p.s. my 3 hole punch is still wicked awesome

I've done countless searches for info or advice on what to do. My GF's car was stolen last week and it was just found this morning. The cops said it was completely stripped so I am assuming it doesn't even run. A car is a car so we're not totally tweaked. Thing is I am uncertain what our next step is. The car was towed to a lot in San Jose. I am going down withthe title shorlty to see what our option sare but does anyone here have any advice? We only had liabilty insurnace, car was cheap and just used to putt aound town. We have the title... Do I have to pay for the towing? I figure yes or maybe AAA pays it... Who do I sell the car to? Junk Yard? Salvage Yard? Any advice... Word, Thx! Sebazz...
