  1. Like madjohn I meet Sandy at this years SOS record attempt and was impressed with his story about getting his AFF done. I am glad we made a few jumps together in Elsinore and I am so sorry you are gone. Blue Skies Sandy Always happy to fall out of a plane

  8. Once in a while I just can't run out the landing on my Spectre 170 and use a PLF. better a dirty rig then broken wrist or arm. Always happy to fall out of a plane
  9. Yes or we also could say the first nail was put in the coffin. What amazes me when we got the first PC's our thoughts were "Now we can fly the parachute!" Most of todays generation can't understand that progression and evolution. I just hope I can see the next evolution in canopies. Always happy to fall out of a plane
  10. Congrats and what a great way to celebrate Always happy to fall out of a plane
  11. Jerry, The 76 Worlds in Rome where the last were PC were jumped. We, the swiss, had a long discussion to switch to squares the pervious winter and then believed that we could not get enough jumps on squares to get top the same skill level as we had with PCs. I believe team accuracy was won by Germany with PC, we came in 5th. But what was impressive for me at that worlds was the women's individual accuracy won by a English girl on a strato star. her approach looked consistently perfect and stable glide path to the disk, not seen or demonstrated by any other square pilot at that worlds. Her wing loading had to be optimal, we just didn't know then. Always happy to fall out of a plane

  20. Good foresight by the author to the feature of swooping, he called the jumper 'parachute pilots' Always happy to fall out of a plane
  21. Yes 10 Meter (33 ft) was the standard size and getting the right peas and under-construction was the key to a maintenance free pit. Loved to 'crashed' into it which was overtime when doing accuracy with wind Always happy to fall out of a plane
  22. Congrats! My first Aug 15th 68 Sitterdorf Switzerland), then in Aug 69 it really started with the second and rest is a very long story covering 3 continents. Always happy to fall out of a plane
  23. The woman's gold at the Worlds in 76 went to a Britsh jumper. How she flow that Strato Star was just majestic and a beauty to watch. She showed the world how a squar is handled for Accuracy. I would say her wait was just Ideal for that 5 cell. Wing loading wasn't a consideration then. At that Worlds more then half of the competitors still jumped PC's. Always happy to fall out of a plane
  24. Pack slowly and find a most georgouse girl for holding tension.... ya mon. Jumpa Montana Yep then packing was a pleasure. Always happy to fall out of a plane
