Thinking about getting a video camera. I've worked digital still cameras on the ground, but I guess you can call me camera stupid since I've never looked at a camcorder. What megapixel, and any other feature is recommended for a skydiving camcorders?
-
I'll be vacationing in Orlando in July and want to take 3 people out to do a tandem and swoop one of them myself. Where would be a good DZ to visit?
-
back in November an Aerodyne dealer emailed me about buying a pilot. I can't find the email. Do you know who you are?
-
Triathlons.. are just weird. I jumped one for about 80 jumps and never knew what it was going to do on opening. One of the camera guys that I pack for always asks me to roll the nose on his. I sometimes think that Gelvenor fabric can cause weird openings. The fabric can get so sticky that I think it starts to open, unsticks and slams the hell out of you. They are easy canopies to pack, though. That's for sure.. *** I have to agree with popsjumper, it's your canopy. I jump a tri and the fabric is awesome to pack. I roll the nose and pull the slider way out over the nose and get soft on heading 700' + openings every time.
-
do any of you roll the nose when packing a spectre or does it open slow enough just pulling the slider over it?
-
is there anyone who psycho packs a pilot?
-
thanks for offering friendly and supportive advice like everyone else......there's always gotta be one prick in the bunch!
-
I have found that if I keep the lines straight when packing, and leave at least 18 inches of lines after the last stow, I've yet to get a twist.
-
I got a free blowjob last week. what does that have to do with skydiving you say? you know the old adage... who are we??? SKYDIVERS what do we do??? EAT....FUCK...SKYDIVE!!!

Is 1.36 a conservative wingload for what will be my last downsize? I'm 205 without gear. 400 jumps. my first downsize a few years back was from a manta 288 to a traiathlon 210. I'd like to move to a pilot 169. I stand up 98% of landings except 2% of those no wind 2nd base slides. I'm thinking 9 cells will help that a little. I don't need to swoop or front riser the landings and want to stay so it would be my last downsize. I really don't want to mess with a 190. is 40 feet too drastic?
-
I've only got one ride on my tempo. It opened perfectly, flew smoothly, and stood up the landing. Like everyone said, it's a 7-cell f-111 so it doesn't have the flare you might be used to.
-
currently fly a triathlon. love it. always opens and lands soft. I'm going to downsize a bit, and am leaning towards a 9 cell for better landings than my 7. I've heard good things about the pilot, and also safire2. looking for some feedback on aerodyne vx. icarus. thanks,

aeodyne tells me they don't make super bandz anymore. anybody have a raplacement they've had luck with.

I've been looking at a "base modified dragon 220" can someone tell this newbie what base modified is?
