  1. I don't know what that means? Are you telling me that all 40 million non insured Americans can't afford it? Every single one of theirs salvation is only through a national health care!?! Again, nothing down the middle with you, just left or right, up or down?
  2. Again, it is not black and white. Yes, these are three examples I used, and there are many more. Any sane person would have to agree with that... Death comes in many forms some of which are from stupidity, the very same people who OPTED not to get insurance. The point with that is it skews your ratio in the original post. That is the topic at hand, not 40 million people uninsured. Stay on point. i can agree that is not the only reason (because people don't want insurance) but I would imagine the number of people who freely elected to have no insurance and die stupidly would be pretty high. And 40 million without insurance... how many out of that are actually "uninsureable"?? I am sure it is not that high. That number is a little skewed as well. A substantial portion of that could have insurance if they WANTED!
  3. I am sure the affording part is not the only issue. How many drug dealers and drug addicts don't have insurance? How many gang members don't have insurance? How many young adults don't have insurance yet still drive drunk? The question is not black and white, and neither is the answer. People die in all walks of life, and those who expose themselves to it in incredibly stupid ways (i.e. drugs, gangs, drunk driving, the list can go on) OPT to not have insurance. It isn't always important to everyone, whether they can afford it or not!
  4. I can't remember if it is In Like Flint or Our Man Flint, but one of those two he jumped from a lear and got to read the paper on the way down delivered from another jumper! Hilarious to watch really!
  5. Awesome. I am trying to get my reserve repacked before I head out, but abslolutely! Thanks Man!
  6. Alright, Just moved to Fort Worth from San Antonio. Once I get settled in and make sure the girl gets a job and bills are taken care of, I will be sure to hit up Dallas as well as the other 182 dz around the neighborhood (why not?)!!!! Just throwing a line out there to anyone else in the area... not too sure how many fun, drunk, and naked people are out here yet!!! Let me know if you know of any! Joel

    Taxes Suck!

Every year until this one I got money back! Just did my taxes and I owe ~$400! I thought starting several retirement plans this year would ensure something I get back! Guess not!
  11. Who ever said U571 is the worst, they are wrong It wasn't too bad. By far the worst would have to be the crap pile called "Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy!" Walked out withing ten minutes of the movie started, still not sure how the singing Dolphins in the beginning didn't get me up sooner. However the book was not too bad!

    New game.

Ahh, the impossible quiz! Took me three months to complete at work without looking up the answers!
  13. Understood. WalMart could have done this better, done that better. That is nothing more than the power of hindsight. So many different scenarios could have taken place, and chances are they will in the future, which we will be in the same position now. Why didn't someone (WalMart) do better in prevention? That is an absurd question. The only victim in this incident is the gentlemen who got killed. What he did wrong was to go to work! The fact still remains the door got broke down, people rushed over one another, and continued doing it, at least ONE HUNDRED times. That is ridiculous. How can anyone make preperations or foresee this incident. It was stated from initial articles that cops were not able to render first aid because of being jostled by the crowd, and when WalMart did the right and sensible thing by closing the doors, they were only met with more futile customers. To me, the crowd is at fault, not WalMart!
  14. http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/12/02/walmart.trampling.suit/index.html People go to huge crowds, force their way in, fight for bargains, step on people, kill people, injure eachother, and then sue WalMart for negligence. I guess being responsible for your own actions is a thing of the past, huh? So, if I pack myself a malfunction and slam the ground, I should be able to sue whoever made the 'chute?
  15. Everyone saying a glance wont do it, what about at a 45 degree off the front right into a barricade? Both mine deployed and never hit anything dead on! Glad you are okay! Check to make sure the airbags are working, they are lifesavers!

    Trip Ideas?

Tried to give it back, can't. Only I can use it or money lost. It is not just the whole family thing, I have to work, and this year was not the best year for me to do that. My mom completely understands. And both of my parents have done tandems before, and thinks it is cool as hell. So they would have had no problem with me skipping out to go jump. Wanna go somewhere maybe after Christmas, just not sure where.

    Trip Ideas?

So my parents are inviting myself and two older sisters with their immediate family to Disney World this Christmas, full expense paid. Only I opted not to go; multiple reasons, mainly don't want to be around my sisters for a week isolated from everyone else I know. So now I have a non-transferable plane ticket, just no where to go right now. Any suggestions?
  18. Depends. Maybe a friend of her's came over with a dog. Maybe she had friends over and didn't want them to touch it. Maybe... well, you get the idea. Did she move it to show to someone, to talk about it with anyone other than yourself. I would only be upset if someone touched my rig for personal gain, and not to help protect my gear with thought. I look at it as I do in inspection of the gear before every jump, and I know if something could be wrong or not, then God himself couldn't stop me from getting upset.
  19. Yeah, that. How do you do that??
  20. Is it just the thread you want, or the video. Here is the youtube page with the video. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=415522238742241303&ei=XbrZSLe8MaHSqALgpMShCw&q=Halo+%2B+Tech+guy&vt=lf (How do you make it clicky)
  21. If a transvestite goes missing, do they put his (her?) picture on a carton of Half & Half? *pick up lines* (They work all the time) You want to go halves in on a bastard? Let's flip a coin! Heads at my place, tail at yours! "You wanna fuck..." (Face of disgust) "...ing drink. You didn't let me finish!"
  22. Thanks for the info, Went to set up the DVR before I even finished reading!
  23. Quick note... I think it is a fantastic idea to see how the sport does play a physiological role on the body. Please keep me updated in the future of your results. Best of luck to you!
  24. The only reason I brought up anything about hypoxia is because it can be leading factor into hypoxaemia, or low oxygen levels within the blood. If there is in fact a decrease of oxygen within the blood, and pressure is directly proportional to flow, then the flow of blood is going to need to increase to "recycle" the blood to get oxygen throughout the body, which in turn will also increase blood pressure. I do have a question though, why do you think it will only have an affect systolic bp? Essential hypertension has been known to affect diastolic and/or both as well? Sorry if I come out sounding condescending. Just my nature I guess. I always start thinking of all variables right from the start.
