Nylon webbing and material is pretty stable unless exposed to very high heat and ultraviolet radiation. Putting it in a dark closet somewhere in an airconditioned house in a bag that keeps out vermin is a good measure. No need to keep it in an airtight environment, it will only promote the growth of mold. Also, dont store it near harsh chemicals like bleach or other cleaning agents, these might corrode the hardware. There is also no need to pop the reserve, which some people do because they think the spring will weaken over time. My 10 cents, some gear manufacturer can probably give you better info. I had the same problems with my HC-40 and the cameye plug. I ended up cutting a narrow slot in the d-box and the helmet, and used a little bit of gaffers tape on the cameye plug to make it easy to pull out (see pictures). It's not visible in the pic, but I used a narrow strip in a U shape around the bottom of the plug to reinforce the loose flap on the top of the plug. >Anything worth doing requires a helmet

If you remove the strap by cutting the stitching and pulling it out make sure you put some gaffers tape over the resulting hole in the casing. This will stop dirt from getting into the tape mechanism, and will also prevent tape "flutter" caused by airflow into the casing. Jaco >Anything worth doing requires a helmet

I recently jumped one, and it seemed to be very comparable to a stiletto of the same size. The recovery arc felt a little longer though. The only way to really know if you like it is to jump it of course. Give Aubrey or one of the other friendly people at Aerodyne a call, I'm sure they will help you out with a demo I've also heard a rumour that they are planning to release a new high performance non-crossbraced canopy real soon. I have a set of peerser goggles and it works fine with my pro-tec (what those "skate" helmets are called). I wear them under the helmet. Make sure the elastic on the goggles are hooked over your ears, otherwise it will tend to slip down to your neck when you put on a tight fitting helmet. I not too impressed my Peersers though, the neoprene rubber parts are coming off after only 50 jumps. I hope you're talking about the pro-dytter and not the dial type Push mode briefly and wait for the top left led to come on. When it does push and hold mode. Asfter a brief period you'll see the altitude led's light up sequentially in a ascending order, release mode when it reaches the maximum, (6000 if I remember correctly). It should beep and display the previously programmed altitudes (or factory defaults). Press mode and set to adjust them to your liking (I think mode adjusts the altitude up one increment, and set skips to the next warning). Dont take too long between adjustments. Ive been having some trouble getting my hands into the toggle loops lately, especially when wearing gloves on the colder days. When the risers were still new they used to pop open due to being stitched to have a fold at a point that isnt halfway in the toggle loop. Now however, with the handles being flattened most of the time when packed, the toggle has acquired an extra fold and stays flat after deployment . Does anybody know of any nifty tricks to have them pop open after leaving the container ? I have a tri 160 with the 3 mod, it never slammed me (yet), even when I stuff the nose without rolling it. I always pull the slider out towards the nose though. On mine I can get looong snivelly openings by rolling the nose tightly, but it tends to open off heading the more you roll it. I stick to 2 or 3 times... it takes about 500ft. Rolled it to the B-lines once to see what it does, and it wasnt pretty (took forever to open, I'd guess about 800) Just my 2c's worth, I've only had it for about 60 jumps up to now. >Anything worth doing requires a helmet
