It is an unequivocal NO but you already should know that if you can see thru your hatred of anyone who does not believe as you do. BUT.. if you believe that your JIHAD is righteous giving you the right to murder all unbelievers indiscriminately...because they believe differently that you do, I would love to help you get to Allah just as quickly as possible, with the least amount of innocent collateral damage as possible, unlike you who wish to drag as many innocents along with you as you possibly can. In the effort to fight evil, we must be careful not to become evil ourselves. Otherwise what is there left to fight for? Israel has already sold their soul in their fight against terrorism and we are inexplicably following them down that road.

That's their problem, not ours. Let's not add to the problem by bombing them. (that's why they attack us, not because we don't think like them..lol) Wow! I was under the impression the Iranian people kicked us and our dictator out of their country in 1979. I don't think they want us back..lol It is only through direct US support that the dictatorships of the reason have lasted as long as they have. (Egypt is one of the biggest recipients of US aid as are the rest) I enjoy my freedom of speech and not being beheaded. We should stop supressing others who also want this right and instead support them. Check your facts!

The friend of my enemy is my enemy... especially after he has butcherd thousands of my fellow countrymen because we are of a different faith than they, and have declared jihad against my friend and I. Will you convert or will you choose to die because YOU are an unbeliever to them. Ok..not sure I'm understanding...so you do support killing all Arabs? lol We have killed a lot more of them than they have us so they really have every right to be upset, no? (much like you are upset with them?) I'm neither converting nor choosing to die, but thanks. Carpet bombing their children will only antagonize them. Surely this is not the correct approach.

Here is a simple test you can do to determine whether you are allowed to have nuclear weapons or not. If you answer 'yes' at least once, it's fine for your country to have nukes. If you answer 'no' to both questions, then you will actually be invaded if you get nukes: 1. Is your country ethnically European? 2. Are you a US ally?

tip that stuck with me since AFF: "FUCK THE WORLD"

I don't think you will need a parachute with all those muscles you will just bounce right off the ground.

for a country their size, it only takes about 2 nukes to end their existence in any meaningful way. Iran, who is rather open about their wish to end Israel's existence and funds the war against it, is quite eager to get nukes. Would they be the first nation to use nukes since 1945? Unlikely. But if you're Israel, you hardly want to trust your continued existence to conventional political science game theory on the use of force. The US is in a different ballpark, with the benefit of size and large oceans separating us from all but a few nations. Israel has no reason to cry about potential nuclear attacks. They are the ones who started the nuclear arms race in the region and I am sure they are prepared to finish it. Oh and by the way...for those of you who have taken up the cause of whining about "foreign aid," Israel is the biggest recipient of US foreign aid besides the countries we invade. If we're cutting back on foreign aid let's start here. They can take care of themselves...they do have nukes after all! http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/2011/tables/11s1298.pdf

A buddy I sky jump with, and who my dad jumped with yesterday... is Palestinian. His best friend, is a Conservative Jew. No. I don't think we should "kill all the Arabs." And I highly doubt he wants to kill any Jews. But when 70% of Egyptians want to end the Peace Treaty with Israel... and say they hate Israel, and they hate the US... you don't give away lands that prevent you from protecting yourself. Regardless of Syria, Iran, Lebanon and Egypt... with Hamas in power in Gaza... its not gonna happen. You are... Dreaming. And if Israel falls... the United States is next. I'm done with this thread... Israel won't fall so you can relax. They will never give up land, they will only continue to grow. They will eventually take the other side of the Jordan river as that is their natural boundary. The only people who need be concerned are any people not of the Jewish faith living anywhere inside this new country. Israel is far from on the verge of being pushed into the sea. As you yourself pointed out they are very militarized and are the most powerful country in the region. You can stop worrying about them!

Jeez...I hope the rest of the world isn't judging us on our Sara Palins and Bill O'Reillys... I'm pretty sure there are radical elements on both sides calling for the extermination of the other side. You probably didn't look the Israeli ones up though did you? What are you trying to prove with those links? That we should kill all arabs before they kill all jews? I'm confused how this adds anything to the debate other than revealing the limited scope of your analysis of this issue.

The natural conclusion of what Israel will become is as inevitable as the continental US and its manifest destiny: Israel will eventually be a single, unified state encompassing all of the occupied territories (Golan Heights, West Bank, & Gaza Strip). They will likely also take over most of Jordan too. These are just British lines drawn on a map..they mean nothing. Whether they will grant their population rights or opt for genocide remains to be seen... Something secular (a state) cannot be based on a religion.

Wow...nice sugar coated fable you got there! The same excuse was used by Americans who settled the West through mass genocide. "The heathens aren't even using the land," "The land is empty," etc. The Israeli groups that orginally invaded Palestine were considered wanted terrorists by the West at the time, just like every person who uses violence as a means to an end should rightly be considered. The only reason the British and Americans eventually sanctioned this terrorism through the Balfour Declaration in 1917 was that they didn't want the Jews around them any more than the Nazis did. After this, Israelis became a wing of the British Miliary and their violence was institutionalized. The White Paper sanctioning immigration to Israel didn't happen until 1939 and the Brits & Americans were forced into that one because they didn't want to accept the Jews fleeing mainland Europe at the time. Try reading more factual books, less Likud propaganda.

IMO South Africa is an interesting comparisson here, but not in the way that you are using it. In SA, the reality is that it was completely possible (not necessarily preferable) to sustain that system for several decades more at least. Much like Israel over Palestine, the SA minority had the military and policing resources to quite easily suppress the 'opposition' indefinitely. The decision to change came from within the minority themselves, the 1992 Referendum, and is widely believed (among locals) that sport isolation was the main factor in this change of heart. My point is that different nations have different priorities. I quite believe that a nation like Israel could sustain pretty much anything they wanted to for as long as they choose to, whether that be for better or for worse. Eventually Israel be drowned by a sea of brown people due to birth rates. That's really their biggest fear at the end of the day. That's why they can't give the Arabs any rights. If they do they will be voted out of office in 5 seconds. Tha's called Democracy. You are witnessing now what eventually happens when people have their rights trampled upon for long enough all over the Middle East. Israel is not immune to this just because they are powerful. They foolishly keep the Arabs ghettoized instead of allowing them to assimilate (a sad parallel to how they were themselves forced into ghettos for centuries in Europe), but this will only serve to antagonize revolt as it has done over the past few decades. Israel ought to change their policies and adopt a 'bill of rights' for all its people if they want to see a centennial celebration in 2048.

You are absolutely right in that a "single-state solution" with a government that represents all citizens is the only option. What you don't seem to get is that the only solution that will be accepted/allowed by the rest of the Islamic world is a one-state solution that subjugates non-muslims to an Islamic state government that treats them as 2nd-class citizens (they will get to keep their heads as long as they pay their protection money and obey the modesty police). evidence: all other muslim countries. "The rest of the Islamic world" is not really relevant to the discussion. The people of the territory of Israel/Palestine will eventually rise up and demand their freedom and I wouldn't want to be one of the people that was standing in their way.
-
Everyone is missing the point here...even Obama who is usually a smart guy. The 2 state solution will never work. It must be one state with all citizens having equal rights. I know, crazy concept right? You can't form a state around a religion and have it stand the test of time. In Israel, if you're not Jewish you are a second class citizen. It is unsustainable to have a minority population opressing the majority. How well did that work out in South Africa? Regardless of how long it takes, the end result will have to be one state or they will simply destroy each other. The Israeli people are their own worst enemy.

Why do Americans hate their fellow Americans?
deltron80 replied to freethefly's topic in Speakers Corner
Americans do not enjoy the social and economic perspective that comes with centuries of class struggle as you have had in Europe. The American Dream is a fiction designed to keep the poor masses in check. If one poor man can become successful, clearly all poor men can be rich if they will only "pull themselves up by their boot straps." Sadly, in reality millions or working poor will never have a chance at a better life and will continue to clean toilets, flip burgers, and mow lawns until they die early from lack of health care. As for foreign aid, we are far from giving the most per capita so that's really a non-issue. -
I just ordered a Pulse 230 & PD Optimum 218 which are going in a Mirage M6. I will be WL @ 1:1, but people will always tell you to get something smaller. The jumping out of the plane part is extreme enough for me, thanks.

Dear OP (and other whuffos), Skydivers are not "insane," we are simply pilots of unpowered gliders. It is confusing to me that you feel the need to ask WHY would you want to FLY? Isn't that the dream of every human? Does a baby bird not continue to fly once it realizes that it can?
