  1. I remember for the opening of the Linc a few years ago, the eagles season/stadium opener, an army leap frog guy almost lost it to the goal post, rough landing on his ass too. Are there any articles involved on how to get into doing demo's? I tried searching, nooo successsss
  2. my first jump will be in the winter, any more difficult doing an aff in the cold air then good temp?
  3. lol @ the way he added in 90. "now involves about as much skill — and as much risk — as riding a roller coaster." I wish, or else there'd be no need for that 1500$ AFF
  4. Uh . . . no. That would be the Audi TT (250ish hp stock) with Dual Clutch Gearbox (aka DSG over in the VW line). It's essentially the same one as the VW GTI (200hp stock) which is a scaled down version of the one of the Bugatti Veyron (1001hp!). All do their shifting magic either under total computer control, s-tronic or tip-tronic. All have two sets of gears and two sets of clutches; one engages while the other disengages. Computer controlled rev matching as well. Shifts are as smooth as silk and take place in 0.2 seconds. No, you -can't- shift that fast manually even if you're an expert driver. This allows these cars to accelerate quite a bit faster than you'd normally expect from a car with their power to weight to ratios (well, except the Veyron . . . 1001hp is just crazy powerful no matter how you look at it). ohh, i thought the tt was 215 hp :-\
  5. I HATE DELL'S CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE THEM. No joke. I'm not the least bit racist/prejudice, but Dell's customer support line is that bad and condescending that you could become anti-indian at the end of your 3 hour support call... If you had the $, i'd say apple. Check out Sony, HP, Toshiba...
  6. I really was thinking of joining, but the passed few days as I got more serious about making a decision, I've ran into guys who just came back from Iraq who simply look broken. Blood shot eyes, tense, nervous. Like fatality rate never bothered me, but I've been seeing injuries and permanent injuries that IMO are worse then dying, that have too high of odds of happening to marines while in Iraq. Have enough going for me here to go into a definet deployment I guess? But yeah after seeing he found them, I turned it into an ultimatum haha and he agreed.
  7. Well, before he told me if I went, he wouldn't keep my car in his name for the insurance anymore and said the only thing that falls from the sky is birdshit and idiots. I brought him to the dz, I guess him seeing normal people go up and come back down laughing and smiling softened his position up. Then on the way home he found my marine brochures and info in my glovebox and offered to pay for the tandem and aff if I didn't join. So it's all good woo. Anyone else ever have any parental conflict with skydiving at a young age?
  8. Definetly. I'm just saying the power the car has. It accelerates nice as hell. Went automatic because of always in the city and other reasons. Supposed to have the fasted automatic transmission for cars over 225 HP or something.
  9. Oh of course. I was just saying in general. I know you didn't mean anything by it. I just love when older guys say something out loud like "daddy's car", then I get out the title and my id to show them it's mine and then they're nice and quiet. I've pushed it to 130 so far. I thought cars had governors? I got a straightaway on the highway and it hit 130 easily. No hesitation or pausing to build up, 90...100...115...130. A lot of people hate on the mustang because of how popular they are. 95% of the ones on the road are v6's and base. The v6 is a completely lower league then the v8 versions. Brakes, wheels, power. For the money, the gto is the only thing that offers power per $
  10. Ford used to be before they closed out that major factory :-( The mustangs, the gt's and the f150's are stilled produced in the United States. All the focuses, cobalts, fusions and every other ford, alot are out of the country. Unions..lol. Floorlayers, electricians, painters etc.
  11. [email] Hey I love my gto. :) The best safe bang for the buck is a chip. Plugs, wires, cold intake, headersn and exsu. But your car has power, spend the money on handling. That's the cars weak point. Nice car man you are a very lucky guy to have such a sweet ride at 17. Enjoy it and be safe. Some times it is better to lose the race but save your ass. Oh yea one more thing stangs sound fucking awesome I love it. Yeah the GTO's stock power is unreal. But I love the sound of the stangs too. I was thinking of putting magnapack's 2.5 inch pipes on it, sounds pretty aggressive without being too loud. And yeah a lot of people see I'm 17 and assume its a parents or they bought it for me. I bust my ass working and it doesn't all go to the car either. That's the only downfall to owning it this young, everyone assumes your a spoiled lil kid.
  12. Of course :-) Too much of my family are union leaders to buy foreign lol.

    Do you smoke?

I personally agree with the OP and that smoking is rediculous and why would anyone do it... But then I guess people who know me say the same exact thing when I tell them I'm waiting to jump out of an airplane :-\ But seriously, why smoke? If you plan on not having kids and grandkids, then go ahead, smoke it up. But if you do have children and odds are grandkids long down the road, then smoking is selfish. Why give your grandkids and kids a grandmother and mother attached to an oxygen tank in your 60's and not being able to breath? All cause you had to pull on a ciggarrette and give 5.88 a pack to do it.
  14. Rims I'm looking at, opinions??? I'm learning towards the alloy technology rims.
  15. Nah I'm not going to put nos in my car. Doesn't deserve it lol. I'm not trying to make it a race car by any means. I just want enough power under the hood to know I have it when some jackass smiles in their 400hp gto.
  16. Yep hurry up and violate the warranty and get dusted by real race cars while you are at it. There is a 1972 Vega around here that people keep wanting to race against. Yeah race against a car with over 1000hp and a chrome moly chassis. Besides the fact the old guy that owns it is a former pro racer. I think this is how he makes extra cash in retirement. His car will dust my bike and most anyone elses My friend has a riding buddy with a turbo busa with nitrous, and he won't race the old guy for money. He should be able too... A friend of mine has an 06 1000RR with a sneaky pete nos kit and other work, he put down a murcielago, shelby's, a chevelle pushing like 800 hp. He beat a 1014 HP prelude at the track too.
  17. Pay for my tandem and I'll pepper spray ya :-). Pepper spray SUCKS. There's different strengths and a friend of mine had a strong one, the high $$$$ fined aerosol then the wetter ones. He sprayed it up in a door way right before i walked in... Congested, watery burning eyes, nose running, sinuses on fire, etc. Go put a habenaro pepper sauce in water and snort it then rub your eyes for all the same effect lol.
  18. Yeah the cold air, tune, and exhaust are 3 definet things im doing. I was thinking of a set of black rims with a chrome lip
  19. No no I didn't mean it like that. I think for being stock, the shelby is amazing. I just meant in general I don't see why people by them for any other reason then having an official cobra. I was stating for the power and performance, you can save a whole lot of money and the cobra out of the water with a gt and mods.
  20. Their nice, but for the money difference of the regular gt vs the shelby 500, you can BLOW the shelby away. The shelby is like 50,000 and I got mine as a left over for 28,500. For $8,000 more I can push around high 600's RWHP and still be at the regular cost of a new gt convertible. Asides from having the literal new shelby's, the power is achieveable in a regular gt while saving much more money.
  21. lmao. and that shelby is outta my price range! im 17 lol. the gt convertible was a big ass stretch!
  22. So basically for the extra rwhp and a couple mpg, intake tune exhaust and lighter wheels for looks. Maybe a saleen suspension for nicer handling, asides from that, leave it be? Someone turned the exact car into a track car, running 904 rwhp. Waste of $ in my opinion and now its a track car. I just wanna get a little more horse power. Aside from the vette, if I put a supercharger on it I could take everything stock including the gto but the gas mileage and blowing headers didn't seem worth it haha.
  23. More control of the car. If your not racing or buying a muscle car with an aggressive tone and engine, then theres no real bennefit except for what you like... I
  24. err underlight kits are gay, and for girls. Why do anything to it. I used to be all about the mods and then stopped and thought why??? If you want a faster car, save your money up and buy one. Cosmetic things are ok sometimes, but be tasteful. You can easily do many a wrong thing to that car. But to each his own. I'd get an alarm first thing. Have the factory one and the motion one from ford when the windows are down. I had one installed from eargasm's with a keypad for 2 miles if it's hit.
