I felt almost exactly the same as you. I was addicted right after my first tandem. Did all the research, watched all the videos then went to do another tandem to make sure I still loved it. Now I'm almost done AFF and each jump I love more and more and I get better and better. It IS very intimidating because there is SOOO much to learn and continue learning. But the instructors are very good about not overloading you with info and giving it to you bit by bit as you need it. Each jump seems to come with a little more confidence and knowledge. I just did my barrel rolls and back flips which i NEVER thought I'd be able to on only my fourth solo, but I did them and did them well and had the most fun yet! If you love it, go for it! What's the deal with the headaches?

I know, I just wanted to see if it was a common problem with skydiving since I'm so new. Thanks! I used to have a handle on life, but it broke -
What's the deal with the headaches?

I will try that, thank you. I do always drink plenty of water and my openings haven't been too hard yet. It has been incredibly hot though so maybe that has something to do with it. I don't have a history of migraines but I do have to pop my ears almost every time. It sucks, I hope it's something that will go away eventually. I used to have a handle on life, but it broke -
What's the deal with the headaches?
peanutgallery replied to peanutgallery's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I just finished my 7th jump and so far after every single jump I get a wicked headache that lasts for the rest of the day/night. I drink plenty of water before I go up and I'm not congested or anything. Tonight's is pretty bad (maybe cause I jumped twice today) so I'm wondering if anyone has any insight into what's the cause and how to prevent it. I didn't find anything very useful when I did a search on the forums. My instructor said it might be cause I hadn't eaten in a while, which is possible today but not really for the other days. Is it the altitude? I used to have a handle on life, but it broke -

feeling woozy after jumps
peanutgallery replied to fendereh's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
That is interesting, I felt the same way after my first 2 tandems but not with my solos. Stick it out I guess and maybe it'll get better when you get that harness off. Drink lots of water too, that helps me! I used to have a handle on life, but it broke -
I love this idea. Let's try to implement it! As an elementary school teacher I regularly see the result of kids born to parents who have no business or desire to be in that role. The worst is when there are multiple kids living with incompetant parents who don't give a crap about them! AHHHH, this is a heated topic for me I used to have a handle on life, but it broke

Pretty cool to see the whole AFF progression, thanks for sharing! I used to have a handle on life, but it broke -
Finally did it! It went well, overshot the landing and PLF'd on a downhill slope. (thanks for helping me out Doug ) Freefall was good, pretty stable..... kept getting "legs out" I felt like they were fully extended but after watching the video, they totally weren't. I guess I'll get used to that. Can't wait to go back up and fix some things tomorrow!! I used to have a handle on life, but it broke

If you go to www.allrecipes.com, they have an option (ingredient search) where you can put in ingredients you want to use and it will give you all the recipes with them. There are a bunch with chicken that are very good, I have made the honey-almond chicken one, mmmmmmmm I used to have a handle on life, but it broke

Yes I am lucky enough to have the summer off (teacher ) so I can do most of my training during the week which I like, the DZ is less crowded and I feel like I get the attention that I need without all the tandems there. Tomorrow is supposed to be a perfect day, 85, sunny, less humid. So I have concluded that all the no-go's were just meant to be and led me to the perfect day for a perfect jump I am glad that the DZ is so safety consious, Hey if it's not looking good....as dissapointing as it may be....PLEASE bring me down! I AM going to keep a few of them, but there are a LOT and I don't feel the need to hold on to all of them. One or two memorable pieces would sufice. I know for a fact that other family members have done the same with the jewelry they recieved. I hope that doesn't sound cold. I just don't see the need to keep 10-12 pieces of jewelery that I'll never wear. Even if I did turn them into other things, I don't need that much jewelery, I DO need the money. Like I said, I'll keep a few to pass down. I used to have a handle on life, but it broke
