That's kind of an asshole-ish thing to say. I also think it's kind of an ignorant thing to say. I've spent a fair amount of time there, and I'm going to be serving in the Israeli army within the next couple of years (and no, I'm not Israeli nor do I have family there). But I have an understanding of what has happened there, what is happening there, and that the country of Israel is an establishment worth fighting for. And to have an understanding of the situation there is to realize that the world and the media sees the situation there much differently than the people that actually live there. As I have heard it stated, and quite accurately at that, "If the Arabs lay down their guns there will be peace. If we lay down our guns there will be no Israel." Peace in the middle east is not about concessions, be them for land or purely a gesture. Peace, as it's defined by the bulk of the Arab population there and by the bulk of the world in fact, will only come when Israel is destroyed. Wow, that was kind of a rant. Sorry about that. I've been following it as well. I think it's one of the best shows on TV right now. That may seem kind of short-sighted, but compare it to the crap that shows up on the networks. From what I understand they've only made 7 or 9 episodes and currently it's not filming because of the writer's strike. Which is, to say the least, quite unfortunate.
