  1. Check this out! Funny as hell! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6RoEaUQqp8&feature=player_embedded# whoops: edit to make clicky
  2. I can say it's right. I don't think it's abnormal. There now we have two people with differing opinions. Back to where we started. If anybody in this debate is abnormal, it's you....
  3. people that type in all caps are irritating.. I support the rights of gays to marry... So there. I don't care if its right. I don't care if its wrong. It amazes me that we have people with such decidedly conservative ideas here that dont subscribe to the basic conservative principle that the government should stay out of peoples lives the the greatest extent possible, but in the same breath they clamor for regulations on this and that and the other thing. Bunch of silly homophobes! Try it! Ya might like it...
  4. It's not the people that set the tax code. Its politicians. I am sure if politicians set a new tax code and said that everybody must pay then everybody WOULD pay. Don't blame the poor for the fact that they don't pay the same taxes as the rich. It's the politicians that set it up this way.
  5. Well if you aren't religious, where did you learn these backwoods ideas from? You keep using the word "wrong" but you don't back it up with any authority. So it's wrong to who? You? Society? The Church? The Govt? Wrong is only wrong when it has some authority (society, government, etc) saying its wrong. Just because gay marriage has never happened in this country doesn't mean it shouldn't. You are a homophobe. Plain and simple. Saying homosexuality is just plain "wrong" proves that. For the record I support the right of gay people to get married. Cheers
  6. Damn girl! You should be working for "Dear Abby"!
  7. That explains her obsession with one-foot-in-the-grave multi-billionaires. She was just trying to get out of the trailer park into a home with platinum bathroom floor tiles. Sounds like a 100 million dollar lotto winner with a gold plated Tractor.. You can take the girl out of the trailer park but you cant take the trailer park out of the girl. IMHO -> Good riddance..
  8. I told my dad I went skydiving and he told me "Son, you know only fools and birdshit fall from the sky" So? Is wmw999 so much cooler? Edit to add: cliffwhite is famous in some circles for his troll-like characteristics. I got banned for a few days for a PA against him. Every thing he posts is about American soldiers being murderers and rapists, or how 9/11 was really the CIA and Bin Laden is innocent and we have no valid reason for being in Afghanistan, and so on and so forth. So I call a spade a spade, sue me. Cheers.
  9. Clicky... Damn that looks fun!
  10. Just relating my experience in the Army. Had an AFB in my hometown and never seen a bigger bunch of wannabe posers in my life. If the kid wants to be a real soldier then he should join a real branch. If he wants to learn how to work on planes or keep his fingernails clean his odds are better in the AF. Cheers
  11. I am a big IT guy and if you are freezing in both FF and Chrome, it is more likely a problem with you inet connection or your PC, and not both browsers at the same time. BTW, I use only Firefox (current version 3.5.3) and it works fine for me. Good luck! PM me if you need help with your PC, and stay away from IE, its too easy to hack. Cheers
  12. Welcome to skydiving! I recommend AFF since you cant compare the feeling of freedom under your own canopy.
  13. I joined the Army when I was 19. My first day of basic training was my 20th birthday, and what a birthday it was. I was a 19k or an Armor crew member. I worked on an M1A1 Abrams Tank. Got to ride around in Korea for a year, just about destroyed my liver with soju and had a great time. Spent a few years at fort riley kansas going to raves, partying and whatnot. When I got out, I got a bonus with the GI Bill because I was in a combat MOS and they paid me $1100 a month to attend college for three years. I think in total they paid me nearly 60 grand, and not the 30 grand they promised. A lot of more sober minded soldiers (party poopers) were taking college courses while they were in, but I am not sure if this is realistic in today's military. Iraq and Afghanistan are dangerous places, and the probability of getting hurt is pretty high. If your son signs up, he will (with 95% certainty) go to Iraq or Afghanistan, so keep that in mind while you discuss it. The suicide rate is very high in the military too because of the all the stress associated with asymmetrical warfare, IEDs, VBIEDS, snipers, multiple deployments back to back, etc. Good luck.
  14. For those of us who have never heard of "tim tams" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Tam Chocolate biscuit? Hmmmm.... I will have to think on that one.
  15. Your right! I ass-ume that you are leaving the details up to our imaginations? In that case its more fun than a barrel of greased monkeys.
  16. Hey Venti wasn't an option..
  17. Agreed I have some tit I would like to trade for it...
  18. I wonder how much hatred for Obama is because he is young and black? Honestly, I can't think of a real reason for such bitterness and anger towards him except that the fringe are a bunch of clansmen. Yeah, the right is talking about shooting sprees and revolution, but Obama's election was the fairest in my adult life, since Bush and his croneys rigged the last two, and I wasn't into politics before that. So whats the bitterness for? The guy won, fair and square. By ten million votes! He hasn't even been in office a year, and he inherited a country that was practically on the verge of collapse, yet the narrowminded right think that he should have been able to put us on the right track in a few weeks, solve unemployment etc. America is a cruise ship, not a bass boat. It doesn't turn on a dime folks... Be patient!
  19. I would fight to the death for my countrymen as long as my hands were warm and there was nothing good on TV Otherwise I might sit on my hands /and /or watch TV. Troll...
  20. I like him because he is new, and less likely to be in the pockets of some multinational corporation. He campaigned on 'change' and that's why I voted for him. We had a choice between Mr. McCant (who has been in politics on the hill for 40 years) and Obama. The choice was easy for me. Just cause I voted for him and I hope he is successful doesn't mean I want to perform fellatio on him. Its the other side that is consumed by bitterness and hatred for him. I think the majority of dems and moderates don't have such strong feelings, they just want reasonable government by somebody who will respect the constitution, restore the rule of law, and fix Americas foreign relations problems.
