  1. Use towels soaked in ice water, place onto affected area of skin. This reduces the heat. Keep doing this until you get relief. When you can stand it, put Nivea on it. And do consult a physician. My Dr. gave me this a few years ago and it really does work.
  2. Congratulations, Brian! Welcome to the sport!
  3. Best of luck in your endeavor to experience our sport. Since you have access to the internet, pull up the USPA web site and find the Regional Director for your area and contact that person. Regional Directors are here to help each and everyone of us. It is unfortunate that you had to experience some attitude from another forum poster, for that, I can only apologize. 4. Who cares if you ask questions...welcome to the sport! Most of us have stories similar to yours on landing. A note for caution, be aware that if you have an incident and it causes bodily pain, and it continues to cause pain, by all means get checked out medically. A fracture of the tail bone, as any bone takes time to heal. Get healthy, stay healthy, stay safe and jump...your safety and the safety of others is number 1 in our sport. Good luck and Blue Skies! Rick Eddy is one fine man. In or out of a rig. He is a kind person. And on occassion, a grand comedian. And not just an excellent instructor. He is one of our skydiving best. He understood my AFF fears. And redirected them. He was there for "my story"...for every jumper has one....therefore, I consider it an honor to be able to call this man my friend.
