can anyone name a a skydiver in the late 60s/early 70s that would have done this??..... ask ur old time jump friends....since most of you guys are too young (like myself) i said most
-
who wants to reenact the jump at the dz to prove one can jump with the volume/weight of money cooper had? it does not have to be a rigger,,,,,they might be way too conservative anyway. ...... Can any riggers comment on the difficulty of using the lines of a conical reserve to wrap a package capable of withstanding 200 mph? ....

JerryBaumchen ...who do u think did it...ur wildest guess...due to what u know.....u must have one prefer the guess u had before reading this thread! bd

........... Quote No experienced parachutist would have jumped in the pitch-black night, in the rain, with a 200 mile an hour wind in his face, wearing loafers & a trench coat. It was simply too risky. ........... a skydiver wound not of cared about a few things: the night the rain 200 mph loafers (Trench coat would have been a concern unless stowed) outdoorsman in Nov would have been concerned about: the "cold rain" loafers the wetness imo john rich...correct me if im wrong or if you have an opinion since ur an out doorsman and a diver (may not apply due to warm weather outdoorsman).

In 1971, was it possible to plug-in the the phone lines to make a call like the the Bell linemen used to do? was this suspect familiar with phone technology? ...... The call in question was placed between 90 & 120 minutes following the jump (9:41 to 10:11 pm). .......

Jo ... Duane told me about an area that you could see the lights from for a long ways ...... its difficult to plan a landing area looking through the side windows of a plane. "Spotting" is not impossible, but very difficult. And if only looking through the back door (id say impossible on this plane unless finding ur target looking straight down ...which is unlikely) he may have been the pilot?

does "Himmelsbach" have any jump experience?

..... His 74' picture matches the Unsolved Mysteries sketch , not only in stature, but even the "bozo" crest of balding. ...... can u post this, please thanks in advance

if jumping in these conditions, one could not expect to leave the darkness/wilderness in short order. the Person would have needed to plan a stay in the outdoors. The parachute jump could have been made by many, the outdoors part...cold/rain/Nov/territory would be more dangerous in my eyes. But who knows..... the jumper may not have been the brightest. any outdoorsman that jumped in northwest us or western CA? edit: added "not"

any old timers think that Cooper was someone they know? who? a guess is better than nothing!
-
is there any possibility that the rest of the crew might have been involved? or a possibility that the jump never happened ??
-
a pair of shoes would not made a difference in this case (i lovely pair of toasty warm slippers could have been made from a parachute and lines)
-
................. Anybody ask Ralph what he thinks? ........................................ how did Ralph obtain so many parachutes in a "not so lucrative" business..... was he ever a suspect?
-
any leads at all?
-
only noticed if they had crotchless panties .......................... did you take notice of everyone that got on the plane ............ smile....make this fun, even if it is serious!
-
Speaking of Jo, to give her credit. ............... she tends to be pretty good at responding. ................... She has asked me questions, intending to follow every bit of info....research every lead.

Has Tina been a bit misleading? maybe part of this?
-
Jo, Why do you never speak of the other thread ? (on the other site) . The thread that is every bit as long as this one?
-
a tight pair of slip ons would stay on

Without proper profiles filled out jump numbers years in sport DZ locations etc etc ,people don't want to respond to these inquiries. IMO... Search the forums for your answers to your camera questions and you'll find lots anyways. ................ why are you responding if people don't respond? there is no requirement to fill in a profile. Lay off, i'm reading this.
