  1. Thanks alot Jerry. One last question, you don´t know the best (cheapest/quickest) way to get from Caracas airport to the DZ do you? Thanks Blue Skies
  2. Thanks Jerry, thats pretty much what I was hoping to hear ! Do they have gear hire ? I've sent an email to my home DZ for some sort of reference and Im still waiting for a response. Blue Skies
  3. Hello, I've been backpacking in south america for a couple of months and I feel like some jumping but I don't have any of my documents with me (foolish, but I didn't want to lose them). I'm soon to be in venezuela for about 3 weeks and I was wondering if anyone knew if I would be able to jump at Skydive Venezuela (Higuerote). I don't mind paying for a checkout jump or whatever, but I can´t afford a detour to the DZ if I´m just going to get turned away because they don´t know me and I have absolutlely no evidence of being a skydiver (other than some facebook photos, some gear knowledge, and some great chat...). Anyway, I´ve emailed the DZ and haven´t got a response yet and I was hoping to be there fairly soon so if anyone has any contacts or knowledge of the DZ it would be seriously useful. Thanks in advance Chris Blue Skies
  4. How are you planning on mounting aftermarket lenses to the contour as there is no thread or anything ? Blue Skies
  5. Really ? The Xtreme Vu mount looks really good other than the fact it relies on 3M Dual lock ?? Is that stuff really good enough ? Surely one funelled exit and its gunna get knocked off your helmet ? Blue Skies
  6. Best ask your rigger or an instructor about it, but looking at the pic it does seem to sit quite wide on your shoulders. Blue Skies
  7. Sounds to me like your harness is too big. I realise without a chest strap ona jump, there is a high chance you'll come out of the harness, though the way you say it sounds like it can come off real easy. I think people underestimate the importance of having a harness that fits you properly. Also, with regard to doing up the legstraps super tight, keep in mind that this wont necessarily keep you in the harness. If your harness is too big for you its surprisingly easy to pull your rig over your head no matter how tight the leg straps and/or chest strap is. Just keep that in mind
