i do not condone waste. that is what Palin has eliminated is a lot of waste. and sewers, raods and police are not something you or anyone can do without.

the budget did got up but she eliminated property taxes. the town was growing and needed funding to pay for the expansion. the town grew 25% while she was mayor and that means more infrastructure, police, and other things needed for the population. did you expect the budget to go down in a growing town? the waste went down.

and be in trouble again like we were under Carter? soory i'll take the larger defense spending and cut back stupid programs like free money and health care for illegals, wellfare for the lazy, earmarks for a park in ohio put on a road bill for NewYork and other stupid things like that.

i don't think you understand how Obama is going to tax us. Over $250,000 will get a tax increase, over $99,000 will get a soso security tax increase, everyone will loose the bush reduction, anyone selling a house will pay higher capitol gains, people with stock will pay higher taxes on dividends. this will affect almost all americans. Obama has got everone on his side snowed. corperations that are on the edge now will go under with a heavier tax burden and people will loose their jobs because of that. Obama want to raise taxes for most corperations including s-corps like mine and that means higher prices for goods or less money for employees.

and we should listen to a guy that can't handle his own finances? Biden has averaged $280,000 yr salery over the last 10 years and has a net worth of only $100,000 because of his debt. he has made and squanderd almost $3,000,000 in 10 years.(and remember being in congress they pay for travel, food and lodging for his job and that is over and above his salery) i don't want this guy to run my finances!

I think you mean the GDP. ------------------------------------------------------------ correct defense budget was 548.8 billion at 9% of budget for 2007 . that is still a very small part of the 2.8 trillion budget. spending needs to be cut across the board not just in military. 2.8 is small compared to what Obama will do.

i heard yesturday that the entire military spending for last year was only 1.4% of the entire gov budget. that makes it the lowest % of the entire budget since fed taxes were implemented. that being said that makes the other 98.6% of the spending the problem.

Has anyone checked the start date of her earmark reduction campaign with those of the election of a new Congress vowing to eliminate earmarks, a President's sudden and newly founded concern with earmarks and substantial news coverage of Sen Steven's pet pig? Just curious. ---------------------------------------------------------- the earmark requests have dropped 50% who cares when it started just be happy it did to bad Obama hasn't started reducing his earmark requests.

the only time i was out of work was under Clinton (by my own choice) i make the most money under a rep gov and loose income under dem gov. my Soso security statement proves to me that i really like to see the rep control the big house.

It is kinda funny that the companies that got bailed out gave the most money to democrats running for office. Fredie and fanny's top 5 were all democrats #4 & #3 being clinton and Obama. (from CNN a few days ago) From 1989 to 2008 Obama got $105,849.00 and hillary got $75,550. the left never wants to admit they have problems with there people. If Bush is really as bad as everyone thinks, and they still couldn't defeat him in 2004 & 2000, what does that say about the quality of people they are putting on the race?

the reason that the lower end of the work force is suffering is because they don't want to change with the times. The economy and job markets are always changing and people need to change with it or get left behind. My buisiness is changing every year and i have to change with it or go out of buisiness. When a job is lost you need to get a new job not sit and wait for the government to get one for you. The training is available (mostly free for lower income people) throughout the country to get the skills needed to retool your brain and move on, all you need is the desire to not be a looser.

PER CAPITA has EVERYTHING to do with the relevance of your question. Each Alaskan, under Palin's watch, takes more from the feds than a resident of any other state. DESPITE Alaska's having more natural resources than any other state. MY taxes go to pay for Palin's infrastructure. Infrastructure that Alaskans can well afford to pay for themselves. ---------------------------------------------------------- you right they do get more per person but they do have the largest land mass with the most untouchable resorces in the US
