  1. To use a shoelace, or any other pull up cord for that matter, close the first 3 flaps normally. When you get to the last flap, keep downward pressure on the last flap with either your knee or your thumb. Insert the pin into the loop but don't release the pressure so the pin takes the flap pressure. Carefully withdraw the lace or cord. Voila, you don't tear off the aglet and your closing loop suffers no damage. If you do this all the time, your loops should last longer. It's called the Hillbilly Hop N Pop dude. 2. I agree that the Stilletto is way to agressive for those jump numbers. I tried a borrowed ST150 about 50 jumps ago and put 10 on it at Dallas when I went down for Curt Swanson's canopy course. Tracking off of the base in a whacker formation, I was looking around to clear my airspace and tossed with less than optimal position and went for the death spiral ride on my back. Curt told me that there was way better technology out there and the Stilletto was not the best choice of canopy for beginning elipticals. Said to put it away for a couple of hundred jumps. I have not jumped it since that day. I was paying for his knowledge and experience so why disregard it. Even at only a 1.3 WL, I realized that I could probably stay unbroke and learn to fly it but it's that one time off where you suddenly realize that's not grass but corn and make the mistake that will put you in. A year in traction is 200 jumps anyway. Stay safe and progress only with experience and you will get there when you get there. Oh, take a canopy course from someone on the list and practice what you learn constantly. Time well spent. It's called the Hillbilly Hop N Pop dude. If you're gonna be stupid, you better be tough. 3. :9:0 2 RW 2 FF 1 Tandem lurk 1 Coach 2 H&P 1 Sweet ass sunset X/C Low ceilings all Sunday so it was nothing but H&P loads from 4K to 7K. The last load was in the rain and Susan B and I did a no jumpsuit two way. We yelled "Rain Hurts" all the way from 6500 to 3500. It's called the Hillbilly Hop N Pop dude. 4. :6:0 4 RW 2 FF 23 Tandem pack jobs 11 Sport packs I'm f*ing sore and hopped on Ibuprofen this a.m. Meet RD and DZ.comer PEEK while he was making his summer rounds. Heck of a nice guy. Noticed that when the darkside descended on our DZ this summer, it brought an inordinate number of hot redheads out to do tandems
  5. Ha Ha, good thing I speak Nikki Depends on the WX here. 6. Since my DZ does not have any dogs, well we have one guy who used to, I decided that if I wanted to experience CReW, it would be up to me to give it a go. Hobbie & I tried to bump end-cells one day but we just didn't get the touch before our break-altitude. Then I talked Dan into trying it and we got the end-cells together. This weekend, I did it again with Kelly and Mike for their first times. Kelly and I held it for a couple of thousand feet and then she went below and behind me. She looked like she was in position to where we could dock but we didn't because we never discussed it and don't really have it figured out anyhow. So without any coaching or real knowledge other than the SIM and innuendo, 4 of us have dismissed the fear of close proximity flying and are pumped to just do it. We've done sunset X/C loads before but it would be really cool to do one with all of us in one tight flock. Anything is possible given enough altitude

  9. Thanks, I see it now. Late last night, it looked like one of those rope and ring puzzles. Looking at the pic, it's obvious now. It's called the Hillbilly Hop N Pop dude. If you're gonna be stupid, you better be tough. That's fucked up. Watermelons do not grow on trees! ~Skymama
  10. I picked up a canopy last night and when I pulled it out of the bag, the toggles were still attached to the steering lines. One toggle was installed correctly with the loop thru the grommet and the toggle pulled thru the loop. The other toggle was mounted as pictured with the loop thru the grommet and around the steering line. I would like to give the person back the toggles but I can't figure out how to get the toggle off. Also I can't figure out how they got the thing off the riseers with the toggle attached as is. How did this get thru the steering line ring? Has anybody seen something like this? It's called the Hillbilly Hop N Pop dude. If you're gonna be stupid, you better be tough. That's fucked up. 12. :4: Crap WX all weekend but did get loads up Sunday. Nothing higher than 8K I believe. Fun jumps when stuff was lower. Owe for rig, jumpsuit, and first CReW. Sorry Hobie but Dan & I pulled it off but it took a long time to get it together. It's called the Hillbilly Hop N Pop dude. If you're gonna be stupid, you better be tough. That's fucked up. 13. I don't see why you could not do that. Let's see AGENT, someone authorized to work on someone's behalf. Doesn't sound like they are doing that. Maybe you could hire a local attorney to sign for you and then cut his fee out of the REA's commission. It's called the Hillbilly Hop N Pop dude. If you're gonna be stupid, you better be tough. 14. Also check that you can bring your legs all the way up when arching, like you want to backslide. If too tight or not enough length, you won't be able to backslide but I think that's more of an overall suit length. It's called the Hillbilly Hop N Pop dude.
